General Information

The Food Service Department uses a computerized accounting system (Nutrikids) for the school meal programs. Nutrikids:

  • Provides a flexible payment system
  • Eliminates overt identification of free and reduced-price students
  • Increases accuracy and accountability

Meal accounts are set up using student identification numbers. Students in grades K-5 use a school issued picture ID to access their account. Students in grades 6-12 access their account by typing ID# on a keypad.

Making a Payment

Payment for meals may be made by:

Parents are encouraged to prepay money into their student's account to minimize handling money, eliminate the worry of lost money, decrease the time spent in the line thus allowing more time to eat and ensure that money is always available. The student may use money from their account to purchase breakfast, lunch, and a la carte items. When a student makes a cafeteria purchase, the amount is automatically deducted from their account. Money left in the student's account at the end of the school year will be carried over to the next school year.

Please note: Any change from food purchases is credited to the student's account for future use and not refunded as cash.
