Dear BES Families:

I wanted to make you aware that a staff member at Break-O-Day Elementary has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was in the building last week; however, no contact tracing is required. The staff member will remain home in isolation for at least 10 days AND is 24-hours fever free in accordance with the Indiana State Department of Health's guidance.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind families that students should not attend school if there is a confirmed COVID-19 case in their home, if their student has pending test results of a COVID-19 test, or if their student is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.

Should you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact your building administrators. I would remind you that we cannot share a lot of information due to HIPAA Privacy Rules that establish national standards to protect individuals' medical records and other personal health information.
