On April 4th each year, National School Librarian Day recognizes the professionals who keep the school library in working order. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They are also dedicated to helping our children find the resources they need to keep learning. A BIG thank you to all of our great CPCSC School Librarians!

Break-O-Day students got an up close look at the stars & planets this week as part of their related arts rotation. Inside the portable planetarium, they heard stories surrounding a few of the most well known constellations. Then we zoomed in on planets in our solar system to get a closer look. We even moved forward in time to study moon phases. We all had a great time exploring the universe together!

**Publishing Party at BES!** On Friday, these young third-grade writers at Break-O-Day Elementary confidently walked across the "red carpet" and into the cafeteria to share their persuasive essays with parents and grandparents! Each student followed the writing process to create their books, culminating in what we call the "golden step"—sharing their writing with the world! Many of the short stories focused on subjects that were meaningful to the students. They compiled their writing into books, complete with colorful covers.
