Third grade students at Break-O-Day began their Mileage Club today! Students can walk or run laps at recess and scan their badge to keep track of their laps. Running laps earns tokens and awards and our students were so excited to get started that they ran a total of 23 miles on the first day! Thank you, Clark Pleasant Education Foundation, for providing the grant that helped us purchase the materials needed to motivate our students to get moving at recess!

Living History!
As part of their Indiana History curriculum, fourth-grade students at Break-O-Day Elementary participated in a simulated wax museum on Wednesday. They dressed up as notable figures from Indiana’s history, including Larry Bird, Greg Kinnear, Jenna Fischer, Oscar Robertson, Madame C.J. Walker, President Benjamin Harrison, and Colonel Sanders.

100 days of school! On Tuesday, kindergarten and 1st grade students celebrated the 100th day of school!

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences!

Our Clark-Pleasant Music Teachers and students were well represented at the Indiana Music Educators Association Conference in Ft. Wayne this past weekend. We had CPCSC students in the Indiana Junior All State Band, the IMEA Honor Choir (elementary and middle school), All State Choir, and the IMEA Honor Band. This is a huge accomplishment for our students. In addition, Paige Lundy (Ray Crowe) and Emily Arndt (Clark) presented sessions at the conference, Pete Sampson (WCHS) ran a Jazz Reading Session, Kendall Anvoots (CPMS) and David Phebus (Whiteland Elementary) chaperoned the honor choir, and Katy Briel (CPMS) coordinated the Junior All State Band and Abby Ellinger (CPMS) chaperoned.

Recognize Excellence!
Two CPCSC staff members were recognized for their outstanding work, during Monday's board meeting. Desirae Bockelman, a certified staff member and Lisa Stidham a classified staff member were both highlighted as part of the Recognize Excellence program.
