Unified Track Meeting Tonight!!!

Save The Date!!!
For the CPCSC District Wide Travel Fair & Show! April 20th.
Clark-Pleasant Schools Plan for Solar Eclipse
Dear Clark-Pleasant Families,
We would like to make you aware that a total solar eclipse will take place April 8, 2024. This eclipse will reach across 16 states but will be most prominent in Central Indiana, especially in Johnson County. Therefore like many nearby school districts, we are making plans for a "live," synchronous E-Learning Day on 04/08/2024. We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution as the eclipse will take place in Indiana for over several hours. Additionally, we are being told by local emergency management officials that there will be a significant influx of visitors coming to Johnson County during this time period creating major concerns with transportation and congestion. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to your respective school building administrators.
Sincerely,
Dr. Timothy Edsell
Superintendent
Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation

GLOBAL DAY OF PLAY!!!
Today is Global School Play Day, observed annually every first Wednesday in February. This day promotes the importance of unstructured, regular play for children. The campaign was started by a group of six educators in 2015.
Students at the Clark-Pleasant Early Leaning Center spent the morning going to different rooms to experience different things to play with such as paste and glitter, jumping on mini trampolines, constructing things out of blocks and other snap together toys. One of the favorite rooms was dancing to fun music with a bubble machine. Principal Kristin Parisi says it's hard to tell who enjoys this day more; the kids or the teachers.
Thank you CPCSC school counselors for all that you do for your students! So grateful for you all!

Clark-Pleasant Community Schools remembers and honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King worked relentlessly to make things fair and equitable for ALL. Dr. King embodied the spirit of the Warrior Way - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe!
This day is not just about reflecting on the past. It's about making Dr. King’s dream a reality in our school community today!
Here are some simple ways CPCSC Warriors can honor MLK Jr. Day;
● Read a children's book about Dr. King and how he worked for everyone to be treated equally.
● Listen to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's 39 speeches to understand his important messages.
● Help create a community garden where everyone can enjoy nature.
● Leave little notes of kindness around your neighborhood.
● Make music or sing for people in nursing homes to bring them joy.
● Invite someone new or alone to sit with you and make friends.
● Volunteer to help others on MLK Day.
Prepare for Cold!!!
Parents please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for plummeting temperatures that are coming up.
Thank You!
