Preschool Staff Delivers Community Kindness!!!
With the help of some of our Community Partners, the Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center staff went out into the community Friday, Nov. 17th to deliver bags of goodies to someone who has made a difference to them.
After changing into Be Kind shirts, each staff member put together a gift bag and wrote a thank you note to someone in our community. In small groups, the teachers and assistants left the building to deliver the gift bags. The bags were complete with a “You’re Special” balloon, a gift card to a local shop, and some treats from Gorman and Bunch and Angi Oakes.
Each sponsor was kind enough to provide monetary donations so that we could purchase the t-shirts and items for the staff.
Warrior Way Service Project!
"This past Monday, Mr. Dostalik's Warrior Way class took a short trip to the Johnson County Early Learning Center to complete their annual service project. Students took this opportunity to plan five short activities to execute with their 25 students!
They learned a lot about the energy that young children have and enjoyed giving back to this group of fun students. This project was one step toward these students meeting their box 2 requirements toward graduation.
A big thanks to the Johnson County ELC for hosting our students!"

Happy Halloween from the Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center!

Community Day!
Students at Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center enjoyed Community Day on Thursday. They had a chance to climb on a Greenwood fire truck and get a firefighter hat and also listen to Indiana State Troopers explain their job. One trooper brought her K-9 companion. And while some students ride a bus to school others had never been on a school bus so there was a chance to experience what it will be like to ride in the future.
Thanks to our first responders and transportation department for helping teach our youngest students about your important jobs.

Meeting Students Needs!
CPCSC educators from across the district are participating in a three-day training focused on teaching content while also helping students develop academic and social language. This knowledge and strategies can have a positive impact on all students, especially our growing multilingual student population.
