Tara shared that she is most looking forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while helping create a positive and supportive school culture. She says middle school has always been her passion and where her heart is, and she is excited to continue making an impact during such an important stage in students' lives.

We wanted to send one final reminder that Registration Day is tomorrow. We are excited to welcome you and your students back to CPMS!
In addition to the information included in the infographic below, we also want to give everyone a quick update on everyone’s favorite topic… traffic. Please be aware that there is ongoing construction on Worthsville Road, so traffic may move a little slower than usual. We ask for your patience and understanding as everyone works through the same situation.
Thank you for planning ahead, allowing extra time, and helping us make the day run as smoothly as possible. We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

Congratulations to Clark-Pleasant Middle School student Ezra Montague, a rising 8th grader, on earning a prestigious Academic Excellence Scholarship to attend NASA Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama!
From a challenging scholarship application to serving as Mission Commander during a simulated lunar mission, Ezra's curiosity, perseverance, and leadership truly set him apart. We couldn't be more proud of the way he represented our Warrior community and embraced this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The best part? Ezra's journey all started with a little encouragement from his grandmother—a reminder that believing in someone can help them accomplish amazing things.
Way to go, Ezra! We can't wait to see where your dreams take you next. 💙💫
A special thank you to Erika Malone and the Daily Journal for sharing Ezra's inspiring story with our community.

Please join us in congratulating Annie Schneider as she steps into her new role as Assistant Principal at Clark-Pleasant Middle School!
As Annie begins her 23rd year in education, she continues a remarkable career that has been spent entirely serving Clark-Pleasant students and families. Over the years, she has impacted countless lives as a teacher, counselor, dean, tennis coach, FCA leader, and now assistant principal.
A proud graduate of Butler University, Annie is an enthusiastic supporter of Butler athletics and remains deeply committed to lifelong learning and student success.
When she's not at school, Annie enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, Winnie. She loves reading, playing the occasional game of pickleball, and is rarely seen without a speaker nearby—because, as she says, every occasion is made better with the perfect playlist!
"Clark-Pleasant is very special to me, and middle school is my passion. I have worked alongside so many wonderful people along the way, and I have been fortunate enough to experience many facets of education that have molded me into the educator I am today. 🏆✨ Today, our middle school celebrated an incredible year of student achievement at their End-of-the-Year Awards Programs!
Students were recognized for excellence in academics, athletics, eSports, band and choir, leadership, citizenship, reading accomplishments, and so much more. From Academic All-Stars and Young Hoosier Book Award winners to NJHS members, Student Council leaders, athletes, musicians, and team achievements, today was all about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and character of our students. 💙🧡
Congratulations to all of our award recipients — we are proud of the many ways you represent your schools and communities each day! 👏📚🎮🏅🎶

The evening was also bittersweet as it marked the final middle school band concert for longtime CPMS Band Director Katy Briel, who is taking on a new role with ISSMA as the Instrumental Education Director after 20 years at CPMS. While we are excited for this incredible next chapter in her career, she will be greatly missed by the CPMS family. 💙
For the past 19 years as principal of CPMS, Mr. Rinehold has been an unwavering supporter of music, the arts, and student success. Through every challenge and every achievement, he made sure our music department had the resources, encouragement, and support needed to grow and thrive.
He has continuously promoted the success of our students to our school board and community through social media, newsletters, and countless conversations celebrating the incredible things happening at CPMS. His willingness to support our music programs is a huge reason why we have been able to host ISSMA events and continue earning the ISSMA All Music Award for our school community year after year.
As Mr. Rinehold retires at the end of this school year, this award serves as a heartfelt thank you for all he has done for our students, staff, and music programs throughout the last 19 years. He has built a foundation and legacy of excellence in music and the arts that will continue not only at CPMS, but throughout the entire Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation.
Congratulations, Mr. Rinehold, and thank you for the lasting impact you have made on generations of students. 💙

At CPMS, we believe in the power of connection and the strength we find in one another. Whether it’s a friend, a mentor, a counselor, or a specialist, support is always within reach. Check out these "helping hands" and remember that your story matters.
Throughout this month, students and staff will participate in interactive and meaningful activities that spread awareness about mental health. One activity is a riddle competition in homeroom. See if you know the answer: I am not a subject that you take in school, but learning about me helps you stay cool. I help you calm down when things get tough. What am I?
