Clark-Pleasant Community Schools remembers and honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King worked relentlessly to make things fair and equitable for ALL. Dr. King embodied the spirit of the Warrior Way - Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe!
This day is not just about reflecting on the past. It's about making Dr. King’s dream a reality in our school community today!
Here are some simple ways CPCSC Warriors can honor MLK Jr. Day;
● Read a children's book about Dr. King and how he worked for everyone to be treated equally.
● Listen to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's 39 speeches to understand his important messages.
● Help create a community garden where everyone can enjoy nature.
● Leave little notes of kindness around your neighborhood.
● Make music or sing for people in nursing homes to bring them joy.
● Invite someone new or alone to sit with you and make friends.
● Volunteer to help others on MLK Day.

Famous Author Visits CPMS!
Author Dan Gemeinhart is doing presentations to each grade level at Clark-Pleasant Middle School today and tomorrow. Gemeinhart, who lives in Washington State with his wife and three daughters has written several books including Scar Island, Good Dog and The Honest Truth.
He told 6th grade students at a forum, this afternoon, that he wrote 7 different books before getting his first book published. He reminded students not to talk about writing but to actually do the work. The author is a former elementary teacher and librarian says quote, "I'm really pretty darn happy."

It's Much More Than Plows & Cows!
Over the past century FFA has gone from young people being interested in farming to being excited about the innovations into the science of agricultural technology and solving the world's food insecurity issues. Some 70-thousand young FFA members are holding their 96th National Convention and Expo in Indianapolis through November 4th.
Our Whiteland FFA members enjoyed the kickoff concert featuring Lainey Wilson. They attended the general sessions and spent last night at Cinch’s World’s Toughest Rodeo! The four day event is expected to boost the Indianapolis economy by about $39 million dollars.

Wednesday November 1st is an E-Learning Day!
