2024 Girls Track & Field Sectional Champions!!!
Tuesday evening the girl's track and field team won their first-ever sectional title! Three individual titles were captured including Tori Jackson in the 800-meter run (a new sectional meet record) and Elnora Stevenson in the long jump and 200-meter dash (a new school record). We will likely have athletes competing in 15 of the possible 16 events at the Regional Meet next Tuesday (we have to wait for callbacks).
This has been a historic season for our girls as they have won the Johnson County Championship, Mid-State Conference Championship, and Sectional Championship.

Dissection Day!
They can be slimy and smelly, but kids in Mrs. Evans' 6th grade Science class love exploring earthworms. These invertebrates are great for dissections and provide an opportunity to teach comparative anatomy and the digestive system. The nerves at the beginning of the dissection always lead to excitement upon completion. One student even expressed interest in becoming a Science teacher!
