Due to inclement weather, all Clark-Pleasant school buildings will be CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
However, students WILL participate in a SYNCHRONOUS (LIVE) e-Learning Day.
🔹 What this means for families:
Students do NOT report to school buildings
Students WILL log in from home to attend live online classes with their teachers
The State of Indiana allows schools to use three asynchronous e-learning days, where students complete work independently. Those days have already been used. As a result, we are now operating under Synchronous (Live) e-Learning, which requires students to log in and participate in real-time instruction.
Each school will be sending families specific schedule and login information so students know when and where to join their live sessions.
Thank you for your flexibility and partnership as we keep students learning while keeping everyone safe.
Congratulations to Raian Timur, a 5th grader at Grassy Creek Elementary, for winning the Johnson County Spelling Bee for the second year in a row!
Even more impressive, all top three finishers were Clark-Pleasant students, representing Grassy Creek Elementary, Pleasant Crossing Elementary, and Whiteland Elementary School.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, confidence, and academic excellence. Best of luck to Raian as he advances to the regional competition. We are cheering you on!

🗓 Registration Appointments:
• Tuesday, February 4 | 4:00–6:00 PM
• Thursday, February 6 | During the school day

During your appointment, families will complete registration, submit required documents, and pay the $175 registration fee. Please be sure to bring all necessary paperwork to help your appointment go smoothly.
If your child will be eligible for Preschool or Pre-K next school year, we encourage you to schedule your appointment soon. We can’t wait to partner with your family and begin an exciting learning journey at CPELC!
🏀 GCES/PCES Spirit Night is almost here!
Join us at WCHS on Friday, January 9th for a double-header basketball game and a fun night for the whole family!
Highlights include:
▪ First 100 students get a FREE rally towel!
▪ Special reserved seating for GCES/PCES students & families
▪ Students form a tunnel on the court for the team entrance
▪ Raffle prizes throughout the night!

Due to cold temperatures and poor road conditions, Clark-Pleasant Community Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay. Additional details may be shared by your child’s school or teacher.

As a reminder, the State of Indiana only allows schools to use three asynchronous e-learning days in which students log-in on their own and complete work without access to a teacher. We have utilized those days and now switch to "Synchronous (live) Learning". This means that your child will need to log-in to join the live sessions during the day. Information will be sent out by each school with more information about schedules and times.
After Dismissal , CPCSC will be on Fall Break until students return on Monday, October 20th.

Multi-Lingual Common Communities in CPCSC
We warmly invite our Punjabi- and Spanish-speaking families to join us for Common Communities, a welcoming time to connect with other families and school staff. Dr. Edsell will share updates on high school construction as well as information about attendance and cultural or religious observances. Our Tech Team will show families how to use Skyward to check grades and how to choose their preferred language in ParentSquare. If time allows, families will also have a chance to share their experiences from the beginning of the year, ask questions, and let us know what’s important to them. We look forward to seeing you there!
