I am thrilled to announce that Clark-Pleasant Schools has once again been awarded the NAMM National "Best Communities for Music Education" honor! This marks the sixth consecutive year we have received this award, placing us among just 18 school districts in Indiana to achieve this prestigious recognition. Congratulations to our outstanding music educators, our school board, administration, and the entire school community for acknowledging the significant impact that music education has on the development of our K-12 students.

On Saturday, May 3rd, the Indiana Music Education Association held a Folk Dance Festival at Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, IN. We had kids from Break-O-Day, Clark, Grassy Creek, and Whiteland Elementary Schools participate with their music teachers. These kids got to learn and present 13 folk dances from around the world. They did a great job of representing Clark-Pleasant Schools.

Registration for the Whiteland Warriors Summer Basketball Camp is now open! Our basketball camp is open for any boy who will be in 1st- 8th grade next year. Our Future Warriors Basketball Camp for next year's 1st and 2nd graders will be May 19-22. Our Future Warriors Basketball Camp for next year's 3rd-8th graders will be June 9, 10, 12, and 13. We will also host a special Elite Camp for incoming 7th and 8th-grade students in June as well. Happy Arbor Day, April 25, 2025! Arbor Day is a national holiday that recognizes the importance of trees. The most common way people celebrate Arbor Day is to get together in groups to plant trees.

National Administrative Professionals Day 2025 is on Wednesday, April 23rd. This day, also known as National Secretaries Day, recognizes and celebrates the hard work of administrative assistants, secretaries, and other office support staff. CPCSC would like to recognize and appreciate the contributions of administrative professionals in the workplace. Thank you!

This Earth Day, please do your part! We all can make positive change for this amazing planet we call Earth. The achievements of young changemakers can inspire us all to do our part to help create a better future. April 22, 2025 is Earth Day!

National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day in 2025 is on the fourth Tuesday, April 22nd. Why it's celebrated: This day is an opportunity to recognize the crucial work of school bus drivers in safely transporting students to and from school. How it began: The day was established in 1981 to recognize the men and women who transport children to school safely. Here's a special thanks from Dr. Edsell. "A very special thank you to each and every bus driver for Clark-Pleasant Community Schools! Your adherence to safe driving practices, bus safety routines, and caring for the students who ride your bus is so appreciated! We absolutely have the best drivers!". THANK YOU to all of our CPCSC school bus drivers for all you do.

April 21 - April 25 is Public School Volunteer Week . It provides an opportunity for schools and families to honor and highlight the powerful contributions parents and caregivers provide at school and home to support student success. Thanks to all of our volunteers here at Clark-Pleasant who make each school day a success!

National Assistant Principals Week in 2025 is celebrated from April 7-11 to recognize the hard work and dedication of assistant principals. Thank you to our CPCSC Assistant Principals for all of your hard work and dedication to our students and staff.

National Library Week 2025! April 6-12, 2025, is a celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

April 5–13, is National Robotics Week 2025! This annual celebration aims to inspire students in robotics and STEM-related fields and share the excitement of robotics with audiences of all ages. Thanks to all of our CPCSC robotics teams, coaches and STEM teachers for all you do to inspire young minds.

On April 4th each year, National School Librarian Day recognizes the professionals who keep the school library in working order. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They are also dedicated to helping our children find the resources they need to keep learning. A BIG thank you to all of our great CPCSC School Librarians!

Paraprofessional Appreciation Day in 2025 is on Wednesday, April 2. This day is celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of April. Paraprofessionals, also known as paraeducators, are education assistants and instructional assistants. They play key roles in early education, special education, language acquisition, culturally relevant education, and family engagement. A BIG shoutout to all of our Paraprofessionals here at CPCSC for all you do!

"March is Music in Our Schools Month" A BIG shout-out to all the CPCSC music teachers in elementary, middle and high school music, choir and band directors and accompanists. This year's theme is "United Through Music." Thanks for all you do for our students!

Grassy Creek and the Early Learning Center have currently raised $2,732.27 for Riley Hospital for Children! Please help us reach our goal of raising $4,000 by THIS afternoon with one last donation! Exciting News: Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center Expands Full-Day Pre-K to Clark Elementary! We are thrilled to announce that the Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center (CPELC) is expanding its full-day pre-kindergarten programming to Clark Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year! This expansion marks the fourth location for our growing early learning program, joining options at: -Main CPELC Campus at Grassy Creek Elementary -Pleasant Crossing Elementary -Whiteland Elementary With this addition, we continue our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education, ensuring more students in our community have access to full-day pre-K opportunities.
