National Assistant Principals Week in 2025 is celebrated from April 7-11 to recognize the hard work and dedication of assistant principals. Thank you to our CPCSC Assistant Principals for all of your hard work and dedication to our students and staff.


National Library Week 2025!
April 6-12, 2025, is a celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.


April 5–13, is National Robotics Week 2025! This annual celebration aims to inspire students in robotics and STEM-related fields and share the excitement of robotics with audiences of all ages. Thanks to all of our CPCSC robotics teams, coaches and STEM teachers for all you do to inspire young minds.


On April 4th each year, National School Librarian Day recognizes the professionals who keep the school library in working order. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They are also dedicated to helping our children find the resources they need to keep learning. A BIG thank you to all of our great CPCSC School Librarians!


Paraprofessional Appreciation Day in 2025 is on Wednesday, April 2. This day is celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of April. Paraprofessionals, also known as paraeducators, are education assistants and instructional assistants. They play key roles in early education, special education, language acquisition, culturally relevant education, and family engagement. A BIG shoutout to all of our Paraprofessionals here at CPCSC for all you do!


"March is Music in Our Schools Month"
A BIG shout-out to all the CPCSC music teachers in elementary, middle and high school music, choir and band directors and accompanists. This year's theme is "United Through Music." Thanks for all you do for our students!


Grassy Creek and the Early Learning Center have currently raised $2,732.27 for Riley Hospital for Children! Please help us reach our goal of raising $4,000 by THIS afternoon with one last donation! Also, don't forget to participate in our Wear RED for Riley Spirit Day Tomorrow!! We can't wait to see the RED - OUT at our school-wide convocation tomorrow afternoon!!




Exciting News: Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center Expands Full-Day Pre-K to Clark Elementary!
We are thrilled to announce that the Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center (CPELC) is expanding its full-day pre-kindergarten programming to Clark Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year!
This expansion marks the fourth location for our growing early learning program, joining options at:
-Main CPELC Campus at Grassy Creek Elementary
-Pleasant Crossing Elementary
-Whiteland Elementary
With this addition, we continue our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education, ensuring more students in our community have access to full-day pre-K opportunities.

March 9-15, 2025, is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Indiana.
Every Hoosier business, school and family should participate in the statewide tornado drill each year. The drill allows you to practice where to go, what to do and what to take so you are prepared in the event of a real tornado warning
On Tuesday, March, 11, 2025, around 10:15 am, The National Weather Service will issue a tornado warning alert through most notifications systems, including the Statewide Emergency Alert System!


Road Closure Information
Date: March 7, 2025
What: Closure of Clark School Road(CR 700 North) TO ALL TRAFFIC at County Bridge #113 approximately 700 feet east of CR 600 East, in Clark Township.
When: Beginning Tuesday, March 11th. Road anticipated to be open to traffic Friday, March 21st, weather permitting.
Why: Removal of existing bridge railing and installation of concrete barrier on the south side of the bridge.
Detour: Road will be closed to all traffic. Traffic may utilize the following signed detours during the closure (see attached map):
- Eastbound traffic detour is north of CR 700 N along CR 550 East, along Rocklane Road and CR 825 West (in Shelby County)
- Westbound traffic detour is CR 825 West (in Shelby County), along Rocklane Road to Franklin Road (CR 440 East)

On Saturday, February 15, Miss Anvoots (CPMS Choir) and Mrs. Bowling (GCES Music) hosted an event called Circle the State with Song at CPMS. We had over 380 kids signed up to participate at our festival including kids from our Clark-Pleasant Middle School Choirs and all six of our elementary school choirs! Many other area schools joined us as well in making beautiful and meaningful music.

First day of Girls on the Run at Grassy Creek Tuesday.


GCES Wax Museum
The fifth graders at Grassy Creek are hosting a Wax Museum this week, where they are portraying notable figures who have made significant contributions to U.S. history and culture. Among the individuals being represented are Elvis Presley, Walt Disney, President Obama, George Washington, John F. Kennedy, and Marilyn Monroe, among others.

Due to inclement weather, Clark-Pleasant Schools will have a 2-Hour Delay today, Thursday, February 20, 2025.


Johnson County Spelling Bee Winner Recognized!
Grassy Creek Elementary student, Raian Timur, was recognized and honored, during Monday night's school board meeting, for winning the Johnson County Spelling Bee. Raian, his parents and principal were on hand as Dr. Edsell presented him with a certificate.

**Parent-Teacher Conferences This Week!**
Clark-Pleasant will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences this week, following the same format as in the fall. Conferences will take place in the evening, and please note that FRIDAY will be an early release day for students. For specific times, please refer to the graphics provided.
