You may remember Emmy—the brave Pleasant Crossing kindergartener who received a police and fire escort on her very first day of school. That day, our community lined the streets to encourage her and show just how loved she is. Now, we have another chance to lift her up—this time with our words.

Multi-Lingual Common Communities in CPCSC
We warmly invite our Punjabi- and Spanish-speaking families to join us for Common Communities, a welcoming time to connect with other families and school staff. Dr. Edsell will share updates on high school construction as well as information about attendance and cultural or religious observances. Our Tech Team will show families how to use Skyward to check grades and how to choose their preferred language in ParentSquare. If time allows, families will also have a chance to share their experiences from the beginning of the year, ask questions, and let us know what’s important to them. We look forward to seeing you there!

Last week we posted: Finn, a student at Pleasant Crossing Elementary, has been selected as a Finalist for the "Artist of the Week" contest for grades PreK-3. At Pleasant Crossing Elementary, they use a program called Artsonia to share artwork with families and it serves as a digital portfolio for each student. Artsonia does a weekly contest and amongst tens of thousands of artworks submitted each week, one of our student pieces was picked!! If Finn wins, he will get a $50 giftcard for art supplies and our program will get $100 towards supplies!

These smiling little faces were part of our Kindergarten Jumpstart program today at Pleasant Crossing. Today was the first day, but we will have excited incoming Kindergarteners in our buildings tomorrow and Thursday as well. This is a great way for our students to get acclimated to school and ready for a fantastic year!

I am thrilled to announce that Clark-Pleasant Schools has once again been awarded the NAMM National "Best Communities for Music Education" honor! This marks the sixth consecutive year we have received this award, placing us among just 18 school districts in Indiana to achieve this prestigious recognition.

Registration for the Whiteland Warriors Summer Basketball Camp is now open!
Our basketball camp is open for any boy who will be in 1st- 8th grade next year.
Our Future Warriors Basketball Camp for next year's 1st and 2nd graders will be May 19-22.
Our Future Warriors Basketball Camp for next year's 3rd-8th graders will be June 9, 10, 12, and 13.
We will also host a special Elite Camp for incoming 7th and 8th-grade students in June as well.

Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center has expanded Full-Day Pre-K to Clark, Whiteland, and Pleasant Crossing Elementary schools. Clark-Pleasant Early Learning Center (CPELC) is expanding its full-day pre-kindergarten programming for the 2025-2026 school year! This expansion marks four locations for our growing early learning program.
With these additions, we continue our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education, ensuring more students in our community have access to full-day pre-K opportunities. On Tuesday 4/22/25 Mrs. Hainen and her amazing students took learning outside the classroom to celebrate Earth Day! They rolled up their sleeves and spent time picking up trash around the school grounds, showing care and responsibility for our planet. 💚
