We know everyone is excited about Fall Break (we are too!) but we wanted to get a couple of events on your radar for the week school starts up again. First we have our annual school skating party at Franklin Skate Club. Flyers should be coming home today if they haven't in the last couple of days. You can use the QR code in the flyer to buy presale tickets. Otherwise tickets and all skate rentals can be purchased at the door.
The 2nd event is a new partnership we are trying with Wright's Gymnastics Southeast. Wright's Gymnastics is selling discounted tickets for a 50 minute Ninja/Gym play session that is just for Ray Crowe kids and siblings. Due to the space size only 35-40 kids are able to participate so it's a first sign up, first come situation.. We do get a portion of the ticket price donated back to the PTO. If this event is a success and there is interest in having more sessions, we'll look into offering this more often. You can buy tickets through the QR code on the flyer below or at https://portal.iclasspro.com/wrightsgymnasticsacademy/camp-details/14984?typeId=46&filters=%7B%22sorting%22:%22time%22%7D&campTypeName=FUNtime&campTypeNamePlural=FUNtimes

The Good News Club is a 6 week club that will be held after school on Tuesdays until 5pm. It will be full of interactive, engaging lessons that are designed to point children to Jesus. There will be Bible lessons, scripture memorization, songs and games! You can sign your child up through the website, using the QR code or request a paper version from your child's teacher. Please send them a ParentSquare message asking for a Good News Club registration form. Please note, this is not an activity of the school or school district. We hope to see your student there!

📚🎉 Family Fun Night at Ray Crowe Elementary! 🧡💙
What a fun evening of learning, laughter, and family time at Ray Crowe Elementary last Thursday! We had a fantastic turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many of our families come together for a night of fun and learning!
Students and their families enjoyed playing reading and math games, shopping at the Book Fair, and exploring fun ways to continue learning at home. Families also took home games to practice academic skills and other helpful resources to support their students throughout the school year.
We were also excited to welcome Superintendent Dr. Tim Edsell, who spent time visiting and connecting with families throughout the evening!
🎉 Congratulations to fourth grader Ellie Shelton, our lucky Family Fun Night raffle winner! Ellie took home a basket filled with games, snacks, and gift cards for even more family fun!
A big THANK YOU to our Ray Crowe staff for organizing such a wonderful event and to all the families who joined us. We love seeing our school community come together to celebrate learning and build connections!
Learning is even better when we do it together! 🧡💙

💙🧡 The Everyday Moments Are Pretty Special, Too
There wasn’t a special event happening at Ray Crowe Elementary today. No assembly. No celebration. Just a regular Thursday of learning — and that was worth stopping to notice.
In Ms. Brown’s STEM class, students were busy making gak when one student was overheard saying:
“This is why I love STEM class — we get to do science experiments!” 🧪
Meanwhile, kindergarteners in Mrs. Buller’s class were learning all about apples. 🍎 They practiced their writing and then got their bodies moving, using pool noodles to “make an apple pie.”
These may seem like little moments, but they're really not.
Every day across Clark-Pleasant, students are experimenting, writing, moving, creating, laughing, asking questions and discovering something new.
There doesn’t have to be a special occasion to find something special happening in our schools. Sometimes, it’s simply an ordinary Thursday. 💙🧡

Please join us in congratulating Kelly Brooks on her new role as Assistant Principal at Ray Crowe Elementary School!
Kelly brings a wealth of educational experience to Clark-Pleasant. She spent 15 years in the classroom, most recently teaching at Center Grove Middle School Central, before joining Ray Crowe in 2021 as the school's MTSS Coach. Now, she's excited to return to the school community she already knows and loves.
"My leadership philosophy is rooted in building strong relationships and helping create a positive school culture where students and staff can thrive. I value teamwork and collaboration while celebrating diversity and individuality."
Outside of school, Kelly and her husband, Matt, have been married for 33 years and are the proud parents of three children and grandparents to two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
As she returns to Ray Crowe, Kelly is looking forward to continuing to support students, staff, and families.
