Today’s FFA Week Activity was “Teach the Teacher”! Members assembled and distributed teacher appreciation bags that also taught teachers a little bit about Indiana’s top agriculture products! Indiana FFA State President, Kelby Roberts, also joined us for this activity!
We want to thank our sponsors for this project, Indiana Soybean Alliance, The Pork Checkoff, Thrivent, and the 2023-2024 Officer Team!

With growth in our community, many students no longer come from a family farm. However, we still have families and students rooted in production agriculture. Today for FFA Week, we celebrate those students and families that contribute to our food supply with Truck & Tractor Day!

Whiteland FFA completed its “Fired Up About FFA Week!” activity by packing and delivereing appreciation baskets to JC Firehouses. Firefighters are a crucial part of the ag industry assisting with field and barn fires and much more.
We thank our sponsors for helping.

State FFA Champs!
Whiteland FFA had two teams compete Saturday in the State FFA Milk Quality & Products Competition at Purdue University. We are so excited to report that one of our teams brought home the State Champion title! The team of Leorah Morris, Lillian Nick, Jack Kelsay, & Brody Polesel earned this honor and will be representing WCHS and Indiana at the National contest in October at the National FFA Convention!
Please give these students a huge congratulations the next time you see them! This is the second State Champion Milk Quality & Products Team for WCHS, the last being in 2021.
Thank you everyone for your support of our FFA program and Ag students. What a great way to kick off National FFA Week, which begins Sunday! 🎉

President's Day 2024!
Enjoy your extended weekend. We'll see you back in class on Tuesday.

Clark-Pleasant Schools Plan for Solar Eclipse
Dear Clark-Pleasant Families,
We would like to make you aware that a total solar eclipse will take place April 8, 2024. This eclipse will reach across 16 states but will be most prominent in Central Indiana, especially in Johnson County. Therefore like many nearby school districts, we are making plans for a "live," synchronous E-Learning Day on 04/08/2024. We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution as the eclipse will take place in Indiana for over several hours. Additionally, we are being told by local emergency management officials that there will be a significant influx of visitors coming to Johnson County during this time period creating major concerns with transportation and congestion. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to your respective school building administrators.
Sincerely,
Dr. Timothy Edsell
Superintendent
Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation

Which Will Win?
Will it be the KC Tailgater foot long cheese dog with hot cheetos....or will it be the 49ers Cali Burger with guac?
Whiteland Community High School students will decide the outcome, with their purchases, but the last we heard the KC Tailgater was in the lead. Students had some super fun Friday visiting the appropriately decorated cafeteria where the usual lunch fare was available but the two football themed items were hot sellers. Clark-Pleasant Food Services says the culinary competition is design to make it a fun lunch day for students and that seemed to be the outcome.

WCHS and WES ONLY are on a Live Synchronous E-Learning Day today due to Whiteland Water Outage.
Due to a Water Outage in the Town of Whiteland, Today, Thursday February 8, 2024 is a Live Synchronous E-Learning Day for students at Whiteland Community High School and Whiteland Elementary School ONLY. All other schools are on their regular schedules.
