Meeting Students Needs!
CPCSC educators from across the district are participating in a three-day training focused on teaching content while also helping students develop academic and social language. This knowledge and strategies can have a positive impact on all students, especially our growing multilingual student population.

National Custodian Day 2023
Happy National Custodian Day to all of our CPCSC custodians. Thank you for helping our buildings SHINE!

Teen Round Table
Several members of the WCHS student council met in their monthly Round-Table discussion Friday. This month’s topic; School Safety. Students sat down with CPPD Chief, Chad Pryce along with Officers Talia Adkins and Shari Mullins as well as interim principal, Duke Lines.
Chief Pryce asked students about their confidence level, when it comes to safety, as well as for suggestions they might have to make the school day even safer. Members of the council talked about concerns they have while riding buses, passing in the hallways and in the transition area. The officers expressed the importance of being safe in the parking lot as well by not speeding and obeying traffic rules.
Takeaways from today’s session might include putting together a larger coalition that is tasked with coming up with a list of safety concerns for future discussions. “It’s important for us to meet with students, they need to be heard”, says Chief Pryce. “These young people see things every day in the building that we would never see because we’re simply not everywhere like they are”. Pryce says they’re a valuable resource that builds the safety structure which includes staff, students, parents and police. Some students weren’t aware of the hundreds of surveillance cameras the district has which are monitored throughout the school day.

Strike Up The Bands!
Tomorrow WCHS will be hosting the ISSMA Marching Band competition with 30 bands from across the state coming to perform. It is one of the largest events on our campus each year.
This event uses every single parking space and that means thousands of participants, spectators, trucks, buses, etc...
Your own Whiteland Marching Warriors perform at 8:30 PM and would love to hear you screaming in the stands for them! Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students.
Thanks so much for your support of this huge event and the WCHS Band!!!
