Choir: choirscpms.weebly.com
If your student would like to be a part of the band, it is important that they sign-up for an "Instrument Try-On Night" to select their instrument with a music educator. This is important to ensure that your student is placed on an instrument that they will like and will also be successful at learning. You can sign-up for a "Try-On Night" at cpmsbeginningband.weebly.com The "Try-On Nights" will be at CPMS on April 14, April 16, April 20 or April 22 (students and parents only need to attend one night). Please sign-up as soon as possible!
Please let us know if you have any questions:
Katy Briel (kbriel@cpcsc.k12.in.us) for Band

We look forward to wonderful musical experiences next year at CPMS!

During a recent field trip to the Children’s Museum, our students from Ray Crowe Elementary School had an exciting surprise. While exploring the museum, they discovered the Ray Crowe exhibit!
Just a few weeks earlier, students had been learning about influential Black Americans and studied the life of Ray Crowe. They discussed his incredible journey—from Whiteland student-athlete to successful basketball coach, educator, school administrator, and Indiana House of Representatives member.
Seeing his story featured in the museum made the experience come full circle. The students were thrilled to find someone they had just learned about represented in such a meaningful way.
Moments like this remind us how powerful it is when students can connect their learning to the world around them.

All funds raised will go toward purchasing incentives for Warrior Way, our PBIS program that rewards students for positive behavior.
It’s a close race, so if you have any spare change at home, please consider sending it in with your student tomorrow. The grade level that collects the most money will win extra recess and popsicles.
1st Grade is in the lead right now with $156.31
Thank you for supporting our students and Warrior Way!

Our elementary Warriors are celebrating literacy in BIG and creative ways!
At Whiteland Elementary School, students enjoyed special guest readers — including Dr. Tim Edsell, Superintendent, who dressed up as the Man in the Yellow Hat from Curious George! 💛
He was joined by Dr. Cassandra Shipp, Assistant Superintendent, and Jenny Zahm, Communications Coordinator — all taking time to read and connect with students.
Meanwhile, at Ray Crowe Elementary School, literacy has turned into a tournament! 🏀📖 Students are participating in a March Madness-style Book Bracket Challenge, where guest readers share competing stories and students vote to advance their favorites — all leading to a champion book! 👑
From costumed characters to competitive book brackets, our schools are showing that reading is powerful, joyful, and worth celebrating.
Keep turning those pages, Warriors! 💙🧡

🏀📚 Clark-Pleasant Class is Dancing into the Elite Eight! 📚🏀
March Madness isn’t just happening on the court, it’s happening in our classrooms too!
Mrs. Debbie Campbell’s 3rd grade class at Ray Crowe Elementary is officially headed to the Elite Eight in the Indiana K-12 March Madness Bracket Challenge! This statewide competition, hosted by Indiana Sports Corp in partnership with the NCAA, invites teachers to bring the excitement of basketball into learning, and our students are all in.
Mrs. Campbell signed her class up back in November, and the experience has already been a slam dunk! The students have:
📦 Received multiple boxes of prizes
📚 Each student received Scholastic books
✏️ Colored pencil kits and supply pouches
😎 Read to the Final Four pencils, erasers, sunglasses, and slap bracelets
🧠 Used the bracket to support math, prediction, and classroom engagement activities
The kids were especially excited to receive their new books this morning!
Now the pressure is on they only have one more school to beat to make the Final Four! If they advance, the class could even earn a FREE field trip!
We love seeing our teachers find creative ways to connect learning with real-world excitement, and what better way in Indiana than basketball season?
Let’s cheer on our Ray Crowe students as they continue their tournament run!
👏 Good luck, Warriors! We’re rooting for you!
