Road Closure Information Date: March 7, 2025 What: Closure of Clark School Road(CR 700 North) TO ALL TRAFFIC at County Bridge #113 approximately 700 feet east of CR 600 East, in Clark Township. When: Beginning Tuesday, March 11th. Road anticipated to be open to traffic Friday, March 21st, weather permitting. Why: Removal of existing bridge railing and installation of concrete barrier on the south side of the bridge. Detour: Road will be closed to all traffic. Traffic may utilize the following signed detours during the closure (see attached map): - Eastbound traffic detour is north of CR 700 N along CR 550 East, along Rocklane Road and CR 825 West (in Shelby County) - Westbound traffic detour is CR 825 West (in Shelby County), along Rocklane Road to Franklin Road (CR 440 East)

March Library Programs

We have a fundraiser this Friday during Read Across America week, for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. We will have a special dress up day on Friday and are asking for $1 donations. Thank you in advance for helping with this.

On Saturday, February 15, Miss Anvoots (CPMS Choir) and Mrs. Bowling (GCES Music) hosted an event called Circle the State with Song at CPMS. We had over 380 kids signed up to participate at our festival including kids from our Clark-Pleasant Middle School Choirs and all six of our elementary school choirs! Many other area schools joined us as well in making beautiful and meaningful music.

Some of our students cashed in their Warrior Way tickets to have a SRO experience! Thank you to our officers for making this happen for our students.

**Parent-Teacher Conferences This Week!** Clark-Pleasant will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences this week, following the same format as in the fall. Conferences will take place in the evening, and please note that FRIDAY will be an early release day for students. For specific times, please refer to the graphics provided. Applying STEM! This weekend, our Robotics Coaches (Elementary) hosted the first ever Robotics Scrimmage! All of our Robotics teams gathered to practice for their upcoming competition. In comparison to other districts, our program is quite "young." During this event, led by RCES's Sherry Pryor and Bree Brown, students were able to practice, fine-tune their robots, and discuss strategies to increase their competitive competencies. The collaboration and interpersonal skills of our elementary students was impressive. Opportunities like these provide students opportunities to enhance their employability skills. Perhaps most importantly, it's another opportunity outside of fine arts and sports for students to experience a sense of belonging.

Other full-day Pre-K locations include Pleasant Crossing Elementary and our CPELC main campus, which also educates three and four year olds. Save the Date for our 25-26 CPELC registration events. Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences!

Our Clark-Pleasant Music Teachers and students were well represented at the Indiana Music Educators Association Conference in Ft. Wayne this past weekend. We had CPCSC students in the Indiana Junior All State Band, the IMEA Honor Choir (elementary and middle school), All State Choir, and the IMEA Honor Band. This is a huge accomplishment for our students. In addition, Paige Lundy (Ray Crowe) and Emily Arndt (Clark) presented sessions at the conference, Pete Sampson (WCHS) ran a Jazz Reading Session, Kendall Anvoots (CPMS) and David Phebus (Whiteland Elementary) chaperoned the honor choir, and Katy Briel (CPMS) coordinated the Junior All State Band and Abby Ellinger (CPMS) chaperoned.

Today, we honor a man who believed in equality and service to others.
