See what's happening at the library!

Uindy is having their home opener coming up on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 PM at Key Stadium. The theme for that day is Youth Day which includes free admission to kids 12 and under, inflatables and a face painter in our Greyhounds Kids Corner, plus more.

The annual "WCHS Fall Youth Cheer Clinic" is quickly approaching on Saturday, August 23! It will be held at WCHS-North building from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. K-8 students are welcome to attend. Walk-Up registrations are accepted on the 23rd; however, we are not able to guarantee a t-shirt. Our high school cheerleaders are excited for a fun morning of cheering, dancing, and even a little bit of stunting with our future Warriors! Sign up your child today: https://public.eventlink.com/registrations?id=6bfd0795-6240-4093-4922-08ddd6a9b29f. All camp participants are invited to the first home game of WCHS football season against Floyd Central to perform during the pre-game experience. More information will be shared at the end of the clinic. If you have any questions please email coach Lesleigh Groce, lgroce@cpcsc.k12.in.us.

I am thrilled to announce that Clark-Pleasant Schools has once again been awarded the NAMM National "Best Communities for Music Education" honor! This marks the sixth consecutive year we have received this award, placing us among just 18 school districts in Indiana to achieve this prestigious recognition.
Congratulations to our outstanding music educators, our school board, administration, and the entire school community for acknowledging the significant impact that music education has on the development of our K-12 students.

We are gearing up for our Explore Summer reading program and wanted to share the promotional items. Attached is the flyer with nearly all of the information they would need. Our marketing team has also made a video to get our patrons excited and motivated. We were hoping that you would be able to share these with your schools. The video is less than a minute long, so perhaps it could even be shown in classrooms? It is a little fast, but the speed of the video can be slowed. If any schools would like a visit from our library staff to promote the summer reading program, please let them know that they are welcome to reach out to schedule something with us. Depending on schedules, we could even get the JCPL mascot Bibli to come with us.
Thank you for the consideration and please let me know if there are any questions.
