WCHS student Jack Kelsay was recently selected to speak at the Indiana State Fair Harvest Dinner, representing 4-H members who were previous State Fair winners!
What an incredible honor and opportunity for one of our Warriors!
Jack shared his 4-H experience and represented his fellow 4-H members and the Warrior community on a very special stage. Jack and his family have made countless memories at the Indiana State Fair through the years, particularly through his goat project, and this opportunity added another unforgettable moment to that journey.
We love seeing our Warriors pursue their passions outside the classroom and have opportunities to represent our community along the way.
Congratulations, Jack, on this well-deserved honor! We are proud of you! 💙🧡🍀

💙🧡 Warrior Spotlight: Mia Takes the Cover!
We love seeing our Warriors shine—and this one is extra special!
One of our own Clark-Pleasant students, Mia, is featured on the cover of the July 2026 issue of Uniquely You! Indy! Mia and her mom, Jennifer Accinelli, a teacher at Whiteland Community High School, are featured in the magazine sharing their family’s story and an important message about inclusion, friendship, opportunity, and seeing each person for who they truly are.
Throughout her time at Clark-Pleasant, Mia has embraced opportunities to get involved, build friendships, and be part of her school community—from Unified Cheer and Unified Track to Best Buddies and so much more. The article describes Mia as social, determined, joyful, and independent—and those who know her know just how much joy she brings to those around her!
Mia’s story is also a wonderful reminder of how meaningful inclusion can be—not only for students with disabilities, but for everyone.
We are so proud to see one of our Warriors on the cover and to see Mia and Jen sharing their family’s story with the greater Indianapolis community. Congratulations, Mia! 🧡💙

This weekend, 180 CPMS and WCHS students had an incredible opportunity to participate in the DCI INpact Band/Bandtastic! Indy event at Lucas Oil Stadium as performers and mentors!
Our students worked alongside world-class clinicians and performers before getting the chance to take the field and perform at Lucas Oil Stadium ahead of the DCI World Championships! 🎺🥁
What an unforgettable experience for our young musicians! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent they brought to this incredible opportunity.
Way to represent Clark-Pleasant, Warriors! 🧡💙🎶

As students settled into the new school year, they also got to experience one of the most anticipated spaces in the new addition for the very first time—the brand new WCHS cafeteria!
Designed with students in mind, this bright, welcoming space features abundant natural light, expanded seating, and a variety of table options so every student can find a place where they feel comfortable. Whether it's gathering with a large group of friends, sitting in a booth, grabbing a seat at a high-top, or enjoying lunch with a smaller group, there's truly a place for everyone.
The cafeteria is filled with Warrior Pride, featuring tables branded with our school colors and logos, along with thoughtful touches like backpack hooks to help keep the space organized and comfortable.
The improvements go far beyond what you can see. Expanded serving lines and nearly twice the number of checkout registers help students move through lunch more efficiently, giving them more time to eat and connect with friends. The new dedicated allergy-friendly kitchen and preparation area also provides an even more comprehensive space to safely prepare meals for students with food allergies.
While the space itself is incredible, what makes it truly special are the people behind it. We are incredibly thankful for the dedication of our Food Service Department, especially Lauren Jones, our Director of Food Service, her team at the Administration Building, Donna Magness, Food Service Manager at Whiteland Community High School, and the entire WCHS cafeteria staff. They spent countless hours this summer preparing a brand-new kitchen, organizing equipment, stocking supplies, and making sure everything was ready so students could enjoy a successful first day of lunch. Their hard work, flexibility, and commitment made this exciting milestone possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Although the cafeteria is officially open and serving students, there are still several exciting additions planned in the coming months. We can't wait to continue sharing the transformation with you as this incredible space continues to come to life.

A proud graduate of Indiana University, Mark enjoys cheering on the Hoosiers at football and basketball games with his family. In his free time, you'll often find him on the golf course, visiting race tracks across the country, or reading a great non-fiction book or biography.
Mark and his wife, Morgan, have been married for 10 years and have proudly called this community home throughout that time. They have two children—Peyton, who is starting kindergarten this fall, and Reagan, who is beginning preschool—as well as an Aussiedoodle named Remy.

🏗️ From Vision to Reality: A Historic Night for Whiteland Community High School
Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating a historic milestone for Whiteland Community High School as students, staff, families, community members, sponsors, and partners gathered for the ribbon cutting of our new academic wing.
A project of this magnitude takes an entire community, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.
Thank you to Grafton Peek Catering for the delicious refreshments, Carrie Muse for creating the beautiful custom cookies, and Andrew Prince for generously sponsoring them. We also appreciate Raising Cane's for donating drinks for our guests to enjoy.
A special thank you to Charrie Stambaugh Photography for capturing the memories of this historic evening and to Soniya Davis of Elevated Elegance Decor for the stunning balloon displays that added the perfect touch to the celebration.
We were honored to be welcomed by the sounds of the Whiteland Community High School Jazz Band and the beautiful performance of our National Anthem by Shades of Blue.
Thank you to our outstanding student volunteers from Spanish Honor Society, French Honor Society, Student Council, and National Honor Society who led tours throughout the building and proudly showcased their school. We also appreciate Lucas Corley and our talented media students for documenting this milestone for future generations.
On a personal note, I would like to extend a special thank you to Communications Interns Sophie Rinehold and Kylie McGovern. These two young women spent countless hours helping plan, organize, prepare materials, coordinate details, and ensure everything came together seamlessly. Their hard work behind the scenes played a significant role in the success of the evening, and I am incredibly grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm throughout this project.
To our distinguished guests, community partners, sponsors, families, staff members, and parents—thank you for joining us and sharing in this special moment. Your support, partnership, and belief in our students make projects like this possible.

In Indiana high school tennis, players compete within one of eight districts across the state, with more than 300 teams participating. Our district alone includes 37 teams, and only the top 16 singles players are selected for All-District honors. Being named to this team places Alexa among the very best players in one of the most competitive tennis districts in the state.
This recognition continues a proud tradition of excellence in Whiteland tennis. Alexa joins an impressive list of Warrior athletes who have earned All-District honors over the years, representing the dedication, hard work, and competitive spirit that define our program.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 💙🧡

It felt a little like the final pages of a favorite children’s book — the part where the characters realize just how much they’ve grown before turning the page to a brand new chapter.
Tomorrow, these seniors will walk across the stage ready to chase dreams, create new adventures, and discover all the places life will take them. But today was about something just as important: pausing to reflect on the people who helped them along the way.
At the conclusion of practice, the Senior Class surprised Mr. Matt Anderson with a very special recognition. After serving as Dean for the last three years, Mr. Anderson has gone far beyond his role to support this class. From academics and tutoring to mentorship, encouragement, and simply being someone students could count on, he has made a lasting impact on countless lives.
To honor that impact, the entire Class of 2026 presented Mr. Anderson with a special Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation Senior Class Legacy Award — a recognition given on behalf of the entire graduating class for the difference he has made in their lives.
Sometimes the most important part of the story isn’t just where you’re going… it’s the people who helped you get there.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your next chapter begins tomorrow.

We are excited to announce that the Whiteland FFA Chapter has once again been named an Indiana FFA “Big 10 Chapter” for the 2025-2026 school year!
This recognition places Whiteland FFA among the Top 10 out of 240 FFA chapters across the state of Indiana. Chapters are evaluated based on their achievements in:
🌱 Community Service
🎓 Leadership
🚜 Strengthening Agriculture
Because of this incredible accomplishment, Whiteland FFA will now move on to national rankings!
But that’s not all…
Whiteland FFA is also a Top 4 Finalist in THREE Model of Excellence Program areas, recognizing outstanding service projects, leadership development events, and agricultural awareness activities. In just a few weeks, members of our officer team will present at the Indiana State FFA Convention as they compete for the State Model of Excellence title!
We are so proud of our students, advisors, and everyone who supports our FFA program. Thank you to our staff, families, and community members for encouraging our members and supporting them throughout the year — especially when they are representing Whiteland at FFA events and competitions. Your flexibility and support truly make a difference.
Congratulations, Whiteland FFA! 👏 #WhitelandFFA #IndianaFFA #FutureFarmersOfAmerica #WarriorPride

“Teamwork makes the dream work!” That was certainly true this last week in the Whiteland Community High School Nutrition Pathway classrooms!
Our students shared their appreciation for teachers while also meeting important career and classroom standards. Students created a special Teacher Appreciation Lunch experience by offering teachers a menu to choose from and then planning, preparing, and delivering the meals themselves.
Teachers selected an entrée, two housemade side dishes, freshly made dressing, and an irresistible dessert!
Through this project, students demonstrated real-world career skills including time management, communication, leadership, teamwork, and work ethic. They also met standards for planning and preparing nutritionally sound meals, including accommodations for specialty diets, allergies, and calorie and macro goals.
We love seeing our students use their talents and skills to serve others while preparing for future careers. Great job to our Nutrition Pathway students and staff for making this such a meaningful experience!

We are incredibly proud to announce that the Spanish Honor Society – El Guaraní Chapter at WCHS has earned 2nd Place nationally in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica National Activity of the Year Competition in the Short-Term Activity Category!
This prestigious recognition was awarded for the chapter’s outstanding Hispanic Heritage Month Community Day Celebration hosted in partnership with the Johnson County Public Library Clark Pleasant Branch.
As part of this incredible achievement, our chapter will be recognized this July at the National American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Conference in Orlando, where students will receive a national plaque and monetary award.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication, leadership, and hard work of our SHS Leadership students. From organizing an impactful community event to completing the national submission process, these students continue to represent WCHS with excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
Please join us in congratulating our Spanish Honor Society students and sponsors on this outstanding national recognition!

Todd Croy’s story at Whiteland Community High School goes back more than 30 years. He began working at Whiteland prior to the start of the 1994-1995 school year as a teacher before later moving into athletic administration. Over the years, he has worn many hats at WCHS and has built countless relationships with students, athletes, coaches, families, and staff members along the way.
For the past 13 years, Mr. Croy has served as Assistant Athletic Director, helping oversee the growth and success of Warrior athletics while being a steady and familiar presence at sporting events, school activities, and throughout our community. The Daily Journal article highlights not only his dedication to Whiteland athletics, but also the impact he has made on generations of Warriors during his career.
As he prepares for retirement at the end of this school year, we want to thank him for his decades of service, leadership, and commitment to WCHS. His legacy and love for Whiteland will continue to be felt for years to come. ❤️🖤
