Our Nutrition Pathway students were back in the kitchen last night, putting their skills to work while taking care of our WCHS staff during another late night of Parent-Teacher Conferences.
This time, the menu included:

What makes this experience so special is that it brings together learning and serving. Our students are gaining hands-on experience planning, preparing and serving a full meal, while also giving back to the teachers and staff who stayed late to meet with our Warrior families.
We are SO proud of these kiddos—not only for the skills they’re developing, but for the care they put into using those skills to serve others. 🧡💙

Yesterday, our Clark-Pleasant Middle School 8th Grade Band took its annual field trip to Whiteland Community High School for a morning with the WCHS Marching Warriors!
Students got a front-row look at the marching band’s performance of “Hollywoodland” and had the chance to learn more about the instruments, experiences and opportunities waiting for them in the WCHS Band program.
We love seeing our students make these connections across schools and get a glimpse of what’s ahead as they continue their journey at Clark-Pleasant. 💙🧡

Our Nutrition Pathway students put their skills into action this week—and used what they’re learning to do something special for our staff!
With teachers staying late for Parent-Teacher Conferences, these students stepped in to plan, prepare, and serve dinner, giving our staff one less thing to worry about during a long evening at school.

It was the perfect combination of real-world learning and giving back. Students had the opportunity to practice their culinary and nutrition skills while showing appreciation for the teachers and staff who give so much of their time to our students and families.

It was a WILD day at Whiteland Community High School!
🌿 Our AP Environmental Science students headed to the zoo to explore biodiversity and learn about the incredible variety of life on Earth!
🐻 Meanwhile, back at WCHS, we had a special visitor! GRIZ, the Franklin College mascot, stopped by during lunch to interact with students and help us celebrate College GO Week!

Five Whiteland Community High School ceramics students took their creativity beyond the classroom on Monday, participating in the University of Indianapolis' annual Art Day!
This free event gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore their artistic interests through hands-on workshops led by UIndy faculty while getting a firsthand look at college life.
🖌️ Emilio Gutierrez, Giovanna Calderon, Mirabella Parlow and Kaylin Smith expanded their pottery skills by learning advanced wheel-throwing techniques.
📖 Clover Batton explored the history of collage and zines before creating a one-of-a-kind mini magazine!
What a great way to celebrate College Go Week by exploring new possibilities, developing artistic talents and discovering where their creativity could take them next!

A county championship 34 years in the making, an incredible conference winning streak, and talented young musicians taking the stage alongside community performers!
It's been an exciting few days across Clark-Pleasant, and we have some amazing student accomplishments to celebrate!
🏆 WCHS CROSS COUNTRY MAKES HISTORY!
For the first time since 1992, the Whiteland Community High School girls cross country team is bringing home the Johnson County Championship!
The Lady Warriors delivered an outstanding performance at Saturday's Johnson County Championships, with five runners finishing in the top 10!

🥉 Gabi Goedeker – 3rd Place
🏅 Abby Boner – 4th Place
🏅 Eden Muhlhauser – 9th Place
🏅 Claire Proctor – 10th Place
And the excitement didn't stop there!
🥇 Colton Watson claimed the Johnson County Individual Championship with a time of 15:52, continuing his undefeated season! The WCHS boys team also earned a third-place finish.

🎾 WCHS TENNIS CONTINUES ITS WINNING TRADITION!
The Whiteland Community High School boys tennis team has plenty to celebrate after defeating Perry Meridian 5-0 on Thursday!
With that victory, the Warriors completed their FOURTH consecutive undefeated conference season! The varsity team has now won 62 of its last 63 conference matches and has captured the conference championship in six of the last seven seasons!
And the JV team? They're making history of their own!
After a 7-2 victory over Perry Meridian, the JV Warriors have now won an incredible 76 consecutive conference matches! Their last conference loss was in 2016!

Today, WCHS Nutrition Pathway students welcomed some new friends from Mrs. Justina Flock’s class for a special Kitchen Buddies experience!
The Nutrition students became the teachers for the day, helping their buddies learn how to use measuring spoons, measuring cups and mixing bowls as they worked together to make homemade Dill Dip. 🥒🥣
And, of course, the best part of any cooking lesson is the taste test! 😋 Their creation was a hit all around.
But the learning doesn’t stop in the WCHS kitchen. Students took the recipe home so they can use their new skills and make it again with their families.
We love seeing our Warriors connect across classrooms, learn from one another and build real-life skills along the way.
Good food + new skills + new friends = a pretty great day at WCHS! 🧡💙
Last week, the Daily Journal put the spotlight on an exciting new chapter for robotics at Clark-Pleasant!
CPCSC was recently named one of just 102 recipients statewide of Indiana’s 2026–27 K-12 Robotics Competition Grant. The grant will help us expand competitive robotics opportunities for students at Clark-Pleasant Middle School and Whiteland Community High School — providing more hands-on opportunities to build STEM skills, solve problems, work as a team and explore future educational and career pathways.
We’re excited about what this investment can mean for our students — and we appreciate the Daily Journal helping us share the story with our community!

Last Friday, Taylor Tatlock’s AP Environmental Science students at Whiteland Community High School traded their desks for waders and headed into Young’s Creek in Franklin for some hands-on water ecology!
Students stepped right into the stream to explore the ecosystem firsthand and put what they’ve been learning in the classroom into action.
Waders on. Feet in the water. Science happening all around them. 🌎🔬

Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation has been selected as a recipient of the 2026-2027 K-12 Robotics Competition Grant from the Indiana Department of Education!
CPCSC is one of just 102 recipients across Indiana selected for this competitive grant, which is designed to expand opportunities for students to participate in competitive robotics programs while building STEM skills and exploring future educational and career opportunities.
At Clark-Pleasant, this grant will focus on opportunities for students at the middle school and high school levels, helping us continue to create engaging, hands-on experiences for our Warriors.

WCHS student Jack Kelsay was recently selected to speak at the Indiana State Fair Harvest Dinner, representing 4-H members who were previous State Fair winners!
What an incredible honor and opportunity for one of our Warriors!
Jack shared his 4-H experience and represented his fellow 4-H members and the Warrior community on a very special stage. Jack and his family have made countless memories at the Indiana State Fair through the years, particularly through his goat project, and this opportunity added another unforgettable moment to that journey.

One of our own Clark-Pleasant students, Mia, is featured on the cover of the July 2026 issue of Uniquely You! Indy! Mia and her mom, Jennifer Accinelli, a teacher at Whiteland Community High School, are featured in the magazine sharing their family’s story and an important message about inclusion, friendship, opportunity, and seeing each person for who they truly are.
Throughout her time at Clark-Pleasant, Mia has embraced opportunities to get involved, build friendships, and be part of her school community—from Unified Cheer and Unified Track to Best Buddies and so much more. The article describes Mia as social, determined, joyful, and independent—and those who know her know just how much joy she brings to those around her!
Mia’s story is also a wonderful reminder of how meaningful inclusion can be—not only for students with disabilities, but for everyone.

This weekend, 180 CPMS and WCHS students had an incredible opportunity to participate in the DCI INpact Band/Bandtastic! Indy event at Lucas Oil Stadium as performers and mentors!
Our students worked alongside world-class clinicians and performers before getting the chance to take the field and perform at Lucas Oil Stadium ahead of the DCI World Championships! 🎺🥁
What an unforgettable experience for our young musicians! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent they brought to this incredible opportunity.

As students settled into the new school year, they also got to experience one of the most anticipated spaces in the new addition for the very first time—the brand new WCHS cafeteria!
Designed with students in mind, this bright, welcoming space features abundant natural light, expanded seating, and a variety of table options so every student can find a place where they feel comfortable. Whether it's gathering with a large group of friends, sitting in a booth, grabbing a seat at a high-top, or enjoying lunch with a smaller group, there's truly a place for everyone.
The cafeteria is filled with Warrior Pride, featuring tables branded with our school colors and logos, along with thoughtful touches like backpack hooks to help keep the space organized and comfortable.
The improvements go far beyond what you can see. Expanded serving lines and nearly twice the number of checkout registers help students move through lunch more efficiently, giving them more time to eat and connect with friends. The new dedicated allergy-friendly kitchen and preparation area also provides an even more comprehensive space to safely prepare meals for students with food allergies.
While the space itself is incredible, what makes it truly special are the people behind it. We are incredibly thankful for the dedication of our Food Service Department, especially Lauren Jones, our Director of Food Service, her team at the Administration Building, Donna Magness, Food Service Manager at Whiteland Community High School, and the entire WCHS cafeteria staff. They spent countless hours this summer preparing a brand-new kitchen, organizing equipment, stocking supplies, and making sure everything was ready so students could enjoy a successful first day of lunch. Their hard work, flexibility, and commitment made this exciting milestone possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Although the cafeteria is officially open and serving students, there are still several exciting additions planned in the coming months. We can't wait to continue sharing the transformation with you as this incredible space continues to come to life.

Please join us in congratulating Kathryn Sinzinger on her new role as Assistant Principal at Whiteland Community High School!
Kathryn joined Clark-Pleasant in 2024 as Dean of Students at WCHS, where she has worked closely with students and families while supporting student success both academically and personally.
Originally from Michigan, Kathryn earned her bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Mathematics Education from Central Michigan University before earning her master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas. Her career began as a high school math teacher in Tennessee before moving to Indiana, where she taught middle school mathematics and later served as an instructional coach.
Outside of school, Kathryn and her husband, Caleb, who is also a math teacher, enjoy spending time with their two daughters, Elouise (3) and Vera (2 months). As a family, they love exploring parks, reading together, hiking in the mountains, and swimming during family vacations.
Kathryn has also coached both middle and high school volleyball and high school soccer throughout her career. As a former multi-sport athlete, she enjoys supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
