💙 Future Warriors—this is where your story begins. We can’t wait to meet the Class of 2030!

We’re excited to introduce Returning Warrior, a new initiative highlighting employees who graduated from Clark-Pleasant and chose to return to serve the next generation. Their stories speak to the strength of our schools, our culture, and our community.
This program also reflects who we are as an employer: a place people are proud to come back to. If you’re an alumnus considering a career in education or looking for a district that values connection, growth, and purpose, Clark-Pleasant may be the place for you.
Here is one of our Returning Warriors, Hannah Knight. Here story is below.
Hannah is now an Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor at Whiteland Community High School, the place where the foundation of her Warrior journey was built. She attended Clark Elementary, Clark-Pleasant Middle School, and Whiteland Community High School, graduating in 2010 before continuing her studies at Purdue University.
When Hannah reflects on her years as a CPCSC student, she says it’s extremely hard to choose just one favorite teacher—because so many made an impact on her life. Her Kindergarten teacher, Amy Dougherty, and 7th grade science teacher, Todd Croy, are two who especially stand out from her K–8 years. She also shares that she “absolutely loved” her high school experience, and has special memories from the classes of Chris Kaufman, Luke Skobel, Diana Moorman, Sue Thompson, Jared Huckstep, and Isaac Masih.
One of Hannah’s favorite memories as a student was Homecoming pep sessions in the Glenn Ray Gym. Each class filled their corner of the gym, cheering loudly as they competed in games for the spirit stick. She remembers the excitement of the “loudest class” cheer at the end and how connected everyone felt. She recalls that all students truly participated and felt a part of the event.
Hannah’s decision to return to Clark-Pleasant was inspired by her passion for the Whiteland Ag/FFA program. While she was finishing her degree at Purdue, she learned the program was struggling and enrollment was declining. The idea of the community losing a program that had influenced her—and so many of her peers—was “heartbreaking.” She chose to come home and take on the challenge of rebuilding it.
Today, Hannah loves being part of the Whiteland community and values the relationships she has built with students and their families. As an Ag teacher and FFA advisor, she has the unique experience of teaching many students throughout their entire high school career. She enjoys watching them grow, mature, and find their passion—whether in agriculture or another field.
We are proud that Hannah returned home to Clark-Pleasant Schools. She is a true Returning Warrior. Are you a Returning Warrior? We’d love to feature you. https://lnkd.in/gMDYQAMV

On Tuesday, December 17th, we were proud to host a special breakfast for our Early College students as a small way to celebrate their hard work and dedication.
In today’s global society, a high school diploma is just the first step in a student’s educational journey. Our Early College Program removes academic, financial, and psychological barriers by providing enhanced supports that help students thrive—both academically and personally.
By earning college credit while still in high school, students shorten the time it takes to complete a degree and open doors to future success. The Early College Program truly turns obstacles into opportunities, and we are proud to support these students every step of the way!

Senior Night at Whiteland Community High School
Last night, we proudly celebrated our WCHS Girls Basketball seniors and all they have given to their team, school, and community. Their dedication, leadership, and hard work—both on and off the court—have helped shape this program and inspire those who follow in their footsteps.
Thank you, seniors, for the memories, the effort, and the heart you’ve brought to Whiteland Basketball. We wish you the very best as you take the next step in your journey!

CPCSC will be on a 2-Hour Delay Tomorrow, Monday, December 15th
Due to cold temperatures and poor road conditions, Clark-Pleasant Community Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay. Additional details may be shared by your child’s school or teacher.

Clark-Pleasant Community Schools will be CLOSED today, Friday, December 12th, due to inclement weather. Today will be a SYNCHRONOUS (LIVE) eLearning Day
As a reminder, the State of Indiana only allows schools to use three asynchronous e-learning days in which students log-in on their own and complete work without access to a teacher. We have utilized those days and now switch to "Synchronous (live) Learning". This means that your child will need to log-in to join the live sessions during the day. Information will be sent out by each school with more information about schedules and times.

WCHS BAND CONCERT FOR TONIGHT IS CANCELLED!
UPDATE: We have rescheduled our concert for Monday, December 15th at 7:30PM in the WCHS North Main Gym.
After talking with our building administration again, we received good news! While the gym is still out of commission for tonight, we are fortunate that it will be back up and running by next week. As a result, we are going to reschedule our band concert for next Monday, December 15th at 7:30PM in the north gym. Our start time is later in an effort to accomodate families who have students performing in the beginning band concert at CPMS earlier that night. Student call time will be 7:00PM in the band room. We understand that changes like this are challenging for families; we greatly appreciate your flexibility in helping our students have a high-quality performance opportunity. Please reach out to Mr. Sampson (psampson@cpcsc.k12.in.us) or Mr. Dostalik (adostalik@cpcsc.k12.in.us) if you have any questions!
Good afternoon,
Due to sprinkler issues in the athletic spaces of the WCHS North Building, we and the high school administration have made the difficult decision to cancel this evening's high school band concert. Because of the proximity to winter break, impending winter storms, and additional conflicting performances in the corporation, we are unable to reschedule this event in person. Please direct any questions to Pete Sampson or Adam Dostalik.
Sincerely,
Pete Sampson and Adam Dostalik
WCHS Band Directors

Holiday spirit in action!
Yesterday morning, 40 WCHS Student Council members spent their day spreading joy throughout Central Indiana as part of the Ray Skillman Foundation’s Clothe A Child event. Together, our students helped shop for 240 children, ensuring brighter holidays and warm winter days ahead.
We’re so proud of their generosity, kindness, and commitment to serving others.
WTHR did a story last night that included some of our kids shopping. You can watch that here:

HUGE congratulations to WCHS Band Director, Pete Sampson!
Mr. Sampson has been inducted into the Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters' Fraternity, the highest honorary international band director’s fraternity! This honor is earned by directors who lead consistently superior bands and demonstrate incredible professional leadership.
Membership in Phi Beta Mu is not simply granted; it is earned through rigorous selection criteria, signifying exceptional success and professional leadership. To be considered, a band director must:
* Currently lead a consistently superior band.
*Demonstrate leadership and contribute to the progress of bands through publications, compositions, dissertations, or outstanding performances.
*Hold a reputation for impeccable personal character.
Upon receiving the news, Mr. Sampson expressed his gratitude and perspective on the achievement:
"This is a big honor in our profession and I am beyond grateful to have been inducted this past weekend. Becoming a member of Phi Beta Mu is known nationally as being an honor given to those who have been successful with their band program and thus earned the respect of their peers.
I look at this honor as a reflection of our band program here at Whiteland and all of the hard work our students put into creating musical excellence in all that we do. I love to teach music each day here at Clark-Pleasant and couldn't ask for a better support system from our community and school district."
We are so proud to have this level of musical leadership at Whiteland Community High School!
(More about this honor will be shared in our NEW corporation newsletter, The Clark-Pleasant Chronicle, which will be pushed out later this month!)

We had over 150 Whiteland community members in attendance to cheer them on, and our students absolutely shined.
Thank you to our Whiteland Community High School Choirs for representing our schools with such talent and pride! 💙🤍

From the AMC 12A to Math Day @ Franklin College, our students have been showing off their skills and passion for math.
In early November, seven Warriors tackled the rigorous 2025 American Mathematics Competition 12A exam:
Rhys Williams, Ashley Cooprider, CJ Napier, Mia Kuchaes, Madison Fleury, Cooper Adams, and Grady Rouse.
Special shoutout to Rhys Williams for leading the way!
Later in November, 17 students represented WCHS at Math Day @ Franklin College, competing in teams of three during a 2-hour, 6-question challenge. With a mean score of 19 and a median of 15, our top team — Will Watson and CJ Napier — placed 22nd out of 56 teams!
And a big cheer for freshman Faith Blue, who took on “So You Think You Know Math?” and finished 3rd out of 8!
Huge thanks to Mr. Tim Fish for inspiring and supporting our math-loving Warriors! 💙📐

Last week, Taylor Tatlock’s AP Environmental Science students visited Franklin College for an inspiring day of learning. Dr. O’Neal shared research conducted by both faculty and students and how their findings connect to environmental trends across different states and countries.
Students also had the chance to hear college researchers present their work on stream health right here in Franklin, IN.
What an incredible opportunity to see environmental science come alive beyond the classroom!
