Clark-Pleasant Police Officers visited WCHS Animal Science classes Monday.
Officer Mullins and Officer Foley talked with students about K9 training, the daily life of a K9, K9 uses at CPCSC, student questions about the dogs, and even set up a search demonstration for students to show them the K9's abilities!

Our partnership with Howard Companies is providing WCHS construction students hands on experience by working on different construction projects as part of their curriculum. Students have blocked off this concrete area on the east side of the North Building where they are learning and repairing the degraded surface in that area. This project is needed and will help the overall appearance and safety of our property along with teaching our students something new!
Students were able to get the area ready for concrete compacting the subgrade and putting dowels in place. Students will be laying the concrete on Wednesday next week.

WCHS Education Pathway students attended a Future Educator Professional Development Day on Tuesday.
It was a day full of learning from leaders across the district and preparing for careers in education.
Thank you to all who participated and to Sugar Creek Barbeque Co. for catering a delicious lunch!

Softball picks up their first win of the year with a Mid-State victory over Greenwood!

Baseball Tonight!!!

Please note that due to sewer main collapse in the student parking lot, we are going to redirect our student pick up to the west side of the north building. See image below for details. Students in the main building will exit out the transition doors and walk over to the north building (Same route as passing periods) and be picked up outside Doors 4 and 5 of the north building. Students in the north building can exit out Doors 4 and 5 on the west side of the building for pick up. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and help in this matter.

Paraprofessionals, also known as paraeducators, are education assistants and instructional assistants. They play key roles in early education, special education, language acquisition, culturally relevant education, and family engagement. A BIG shoutout to all of our Paraprofessionals here at CPCSC for all you do!

Whiteland Jazz Band One absolutely killed it at ISSMA Jazz State Finals Friday night. They all played so well and with LOVE for the music!!! So proud of our trumpets for being awarded Best Trumpet Section at State Finals!!!
But I am also incredibly proud of our two bass players tonight! Sadly our talented senior bassist wasn’t able to perform with us tonight due to a mission trip and so our FRESHMAN and SOPHOMORE bassists from our Jazz 2 and 3 learned the charts in 4 rehearsals. They worked their tails off and I am both massively impressed and incredibly thankful for their dedication to our program and their bandmates.
It has been a night to remember!!!!

**Hanging Out at the "Econ" Mall!**
Whiteland High School students are participating in an exciting, real-life business course during the annual "Econ" Mall event, taking place today and tomorrow. Students have the opportunity to create their own business ideas, market their products, and hopefully make a profit from sales. While it sounds straightforward, the process can be quite challenging. They quickly learn that customers can be selective, so students must effectively pitch their products to encourage purchases. If their products don’t sell, they also gain insight into business losses. Fortunately, many students seem to be making a profit from their offerings this year. Some of the popular items include fruity lemonades, small chicken sandwiches, pretzels, waffles, burritos, and classic snacks like soda.

All That Jazz!!!
A huge congratulations to all four of the Whiteland Jazz Bands for earning GOLD ratings at the ISSMA Jazz Festival held at WCHS this weekend. The students also earned over a dozen "Outstanding Soloist" Ribbons for their great performances. Both Jazz Band One and the FIT Big Band earned special "With Distinction" awards for their outstanding performance scores.
The Whiteland Jazz Band One has also been named an ISSMA JAZZ STATE FINALIST for the 5th year in a row. In having one of the top scores in the state, Jazz Band One will perform on Friday March 21st at Pike High School at ISSMA Jazz State Finals. When we learn more about our performance time, we will pass that information along and hope you will come support these amazingly talented musicians!
Thanks for all your support and be sure to congratulate the students if you see them in class!
