At its June 15 meeting, the Clark-Pleasant Community School Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to place an operating referendum renewal on the November 2026 ballot.
If approved by voters, the proposed referendum would continue funding for:
🟠Clark-Pleasant Police Department
🟠 Student Support Services
🟠 Student Health Services
The proposal includes a maximum tax rate of $0.09 per $100 of assessed property value for up to eight years. This represents a reduction from the current referendum rate of $0.10 per $100 of assessed property value.
The Board's action places the question before voters this November. Additional information regarding the referendum, district finances, and community engagement opportunities will be shared throughout the summer and fall.

Coming this fall, Whiteland Community High School students will have a new opportunity to develop real-world leadership skills through our new Army JROTC program with a unique focus on drone technology and career readiness.
Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, WCHS students will have the opportunity to participate in our new Army JROTC program, providing another pathway for students to develop leadership skills, character, citizenship, and career readiness. The program will feature a unique focus on drone technology and emerging career fields while helping students build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that will benefit them long after graduation.
Led by retired Lieutenant Colonel David Resler and retired First Sergeant Phillip Kightlinger, this new program is designed for all students—not just those interested in military service. JROTC emphasizes leadership development, community service, academic achievement, and preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.
We are proud to continue expanding opportunities for our students and providing meaningful pathways that help them discover their passions and prepare for their future.

🏗️ From Vision to Reality: A Historic Night for Whiteland Community High School
Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating a historic milestone for Whiteland Community High School as students, staff, families, community members, sponsors, and partners gathered for the ribbon cutting of our new academic wing.
A project of this magnitude takes an entire community, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.
Thank you to Grafton Peek Catering for the delicious refreshments, Carrie Muse for creating the beautiful custom cookies, and Andrew Prince for generously sponsoring them. We also appreciate Raising Cane's for donating drinks for our guests to enjoy.
A special thank you to Charrie Stambaugh Photography for capturing the memories of this historic evening and to Soniya Davis of Elevated Elegance Decor for the stunning balloon displays that added the perfect touch to the celebration.
We were honored to be welcomed by the sounds of the Whiteland Community High School Jazz Band and the beautiful performance of our National Anthem by Shades of Blue.
Thank you to our outstanding student volunteers from Spanish Honor Society, French Honor Society, Student Council, and National Honor Society who led tours throughout the building and proudly showcased their school. We also appreciate Lucas Corley and our talented media students for documenting this milestone for future generations.
On a personal note, I would like to extend a special thank you to Communications Interns Sophie Rinehold and Kylie McGovern. These two young women spent countless hours helping plan, organize, prepare materials, coordinate details, and ensure everything came together seamlessly. Their hard work behind the scenes played a significant role in the success of the evening, and I am incredibly grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm throughout this project.
To our distinguished guests, community partners, sponsors, families, staff members, and parents—thank you for joining us and sharing in this special moment. Your support, partnership, and belief in our students make projects like this possible.
It was truly a beautiful night filled with excitement, pride, and anticipation for the future. We are thrilled to begin this new chapter for Whiteland Community High School and look forward to the opportunities this incredible facility will provide for generations of Warriors to come.

Whiteland Community High School is proud to announce that Alexa Lee has been selected to the All-District Team in singles tennis!
In Indiana high school tennis, players compete within one of eight districts across the state, with more than 300 teams participating. Our district alone includes 37 teams, and only the top 16 singles players are selected for All-District honors. Being named to this team places Alexa among the very best players in one of the most competitive tennis districts in the state.
This recognition continues a proud tradition of excellence in Whiteland tennis. Alexa joins an impressive list of Warrior athletes who have earned All-District honors over the years, representing the dedication, hard work, and competitive spirit that define our program.
Congratulations, Alexa, on this outstanding accomplishment! We can't wait to see what the future holds for you on the court. 💙🧡

Today, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Abigail Pittman and the many generous community members who came together to support CPCSC students entering foster care.
Through a community-driven backpack item drive organized on social media, donations were collected to create “go bags” for students who may leave school and head directly to a foster placement. Thanks to this incredible generosity, each elementary school in our district received four fully supplied backpacks — 24 backpacks in total.
While we hope these bags are rarely needed, we know they will help bring comfort, care, and a sense of support during what can often be a very difficult and emotional day for a child.
Thank you for showing what it means to be a caring and compassionate community. 💙 #CPCSC #WarriorFamily #CommunitySupport
For the past two days, our teachers, instructional staff, and support teams have been participating in our annual Summer of Learning professional development conference. From literacy and math instruction to technology integration, special education, AI tools, curriculum resources, and student engagement strategies, our staff members have spent their summer break sharpening their skills and discovering new ways to support student success.
Their dedication to continuous improvement is just one of the many reasons our students thrive. Thank you to all of our educators who continue investing in their craft so they can provide the very best learning experiences for our Warriors.
School may be on summer break, but our educators are still in class! 💙🧡

“Interagency coordination is critical in an active killer situation.” — Chief Chad Pryce
Clark-Pleasant was proud to play a major role in this week’s countywide Armed Intruder Training Exercise, which was featured by multiple local news outlets across Central Indiana.
Chief Chad Pryce and the Clark-Pleasant Police Department helped lead the large-scale training alongside the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and nearly two dozen local, county, state, and federal agencies. According to media reports, more than 300 first responders, school officials, communications professionals, and volunteers participated in the two-day exercise.
For many involved, this was far more than a typical workday. Monday’s preparation and training sessions stretched 12–16 hours for many participants, and Tuesday’s full-scale exercise day was likely no different. Their dedication behind the scenes helped create meaningful training experiences focused on communication, coordination, and preparedness.
This year’s training also included specialized sessions for communications professionals led by Brilliant Media, as well as a collaborative tabletop exercise led by the Critical Response Group that brought school leaders and emergency responders together to work through emergency scenarios as one team.
Several Clark-Pleasant administrators, teachers, school resource officers, and staff members participated throughout the exercise, continuing our district’s strong commitment to school safety and preparedness.
We are incredibly proud of Chief Pryce and the entire Clark-Pleasant Police Department for the leadership, professionalism, and care they bring to our schools and community every single day. Their work often happens quietly behind the scenes, but this week it was recognized across Central Indiana.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 💙🧡

It felt a little like the final pages of a favorite children’s book — the part where the characters realize just how much they’ve grown before turning the page to a brand new chapter.
Tomorrow, these seniors will walk across the stage ready to chase dreams, create new adventures, and discover all the places life will take them. But today was about something just as important: pausing to reflect on the people who helped them along the way.
At the conclusion of practice, the Senior Class surprised Mr. Matt Anderson with a very special recognition. After serving as Dean for the last three years, Mr. Anderson has gone far beyond his role to support this class. From academics and tutoring to mentorship, encouragement, and simply being someone students could count on, he has made a lasting impact on countless lives.
To honor that impact, the entire Class of 2026 presented Mr. Anderson with a special Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation Senior Class Legacy Award — a recognition given on behalf of the entire graduating class for the difference he has made in their lives.
Sometimes the most important part of the story isn’t just where you’re going… it’s the people who helped you get there.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your next chapter begins tomorrow.

🏆✨ Today, our middle school celebrated an incredible year of student achievement at their End-of-the-Year Awards Programs!
