We would like to express our gratitude to the WCHS Landscaping class for their help in planting and restoring our outdoor reading area at CES. It needed a lot of work, but thanks to their hard work, it is now ready for our students. Also thanks to the PTO for purchasing plants.

Franklin College Basketball Camp!

A fun activity during morning announcements, at PCES. A song clip was played, and teachers had to call in and name the song title and artist. Congrats Mrs. Brodbeck and her 4th-grade class for winning the $25 TARGET GIFT CARD. The song was "Raining Tacos" by Perry Gripp.

Dissection Day!
They can be slimy and smelly, but kids in Mrs. Evans' 6th grade Science class love exploring earthworms. These invertebrates are great for dissections and provide an opportunity to teach comparative anatomy and the digestive system. The nerves at the beginning of the dissection always lead to excitement upon completion. One student even expressed interest in becoming a Science teacher!

The CPMS Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society inducted 53 new members this spring. They join a rich tradition of excellence for over 37 years! Welcome, and Congratulations NJHS!

The CPMS eighth-grade band and choir students had an amazing trip to Chicago! They visited the Museum of Science and Industry, had dinner at the House of Blues, and enjoyed a performance by The Blue Man Group. One of our students, Ben Verel, was invited on stage to participate.

A Dramatic Field Trip!
The field trip that took place on Friday, to The Indiana State Museum, was a great success! The students demonstrated The Warrior Way by showing excellent behavior at the museum and they also enjoyed and appreciated the theatre experience. We heard nothing but positive feedback from the students. Many of them had their first-ever visit to the theatre and found the performance engaging and captivating. The rap, rhythm, rhyme, and story of Frederick Douglass truly left them spellbound!
The 129 students, from Grassy Creek and Break-O-Day elementary, earned a Warrior Way Experience with Ms. Ruby.
