Thank you CPCSC for all you do to make every student feel like they belong and are safe! We do this by creating culturally responsive school environments.
But what is a culturally responsive school environment?
Culturally responsive schools offer a welcoming and affirming environment that feels safe! It is a space where people can find themselves represented and reflected, and where they understand that all people are treated with respect and dignity.
This week we highlight Whiteland Elementary School. Led by Principal Mrs. Bethany Guilfoy, WES is intentional about creating an environment where students feel like they belong. From the moment students and families walk through the door, they know they are valued and affirmed!

E-Learning Information for 2024-2025
Dear Clark-Pleasant Families,
Below you will find, in three languages, information on our E-Learning process for this school year. If you have any questions please reach out to your student's building principal.

Clark-Pleasant Leaders Join Governor for Signing of House Bill 1104
Clark-Pleasant leaders recently stood alongside the Honorable Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb at the Statehouse for the signing of House Bill 1104. Dr. Edsell, Chief Chad Pryce, and Officer Shari Mullins were invited as guests of State Representative Michelle Davis. The bill sets guidelines for safety plans during armed intruder drills and allows School Police Departments to participate in the 1977 Police Pension Plan. Officer Mullins and Chief Pryce previously testified in support of the bill in the Senate and House. This new provision is expected to benefit school resource officers both personally and professionally, aiding in the recruitment and retention of experienced and qualified Police Officers.

Dear Families and Community Members,
We are excited to invite you to a free Youth Mental Health First Aid training session, thanks to our Project AWARE Grant! This important program is designed to empower adults with the knowledge and skills needed to support young people who may be experiencing mental health challenges or crises.
During this training, you'll learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health issues, provide initial support, and connect youth to professional care when necessary. Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, or simply care about the well-being of our community's youth, this course is invaluable.
Space is limited, so please SAVE THE DATE and be on the lookout for the registration to open soon!
We look forward to your participation in this vital training as we work together to support the mental health of our youth.

X-Country!
The final opportunity to join CPMS Cross Country and become part of our running family is on Monday, August 12th. You should have a physical and be prepared to practice after school until 4:30 PM. If you have any questions, please email sckern@cpcsc.k12.in.us.

Food-Family-Fun!
National Night Out, paying tribute to our police officers and first responders, was another big success Tuesday night. Several families and individuals took advantage of free food and fun to learn more about the lives of those who serve and protect us daily. Thanks to our Clark-Pleasant Police Department, especially Officer Talia Adkins for organizing this year's event, and to all the CPCSC families who supported us. Also a special thanks to Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess and his staff for bringing in some heavy and sophisticated equipment for the public to get a close look at.

Tomorrow Night is NATIONAL NIGHT OUT!!!

Preschool Students Arrive!
Our youngest students showed up for their first day of class on Monday with backpacks on and ready to learn. There were a few teary-eyed youngsters and parents, but for most, it's a day they have been looking forward to.

Clark-Pleasant Families,
Our first Early Release Day will be this coming Wednesday, August 7th. Your student will return home about 30 minutes earlier. Every Wednesday all schools will release 30 minutes early.
