Hallow Trails Fun at RCC!
Yesterday, our RCC kids and special guests enjoyed a festive and slightly spooky adventure during Hallow Trails! Students worked together to decorate the walking trail leading to our outdoor classroom, transforming it into a fall-themed path full of creativity and Halloween spirit.
Once there, students gathered for a special storytime read by Dr. Shipp, followed by snacks and crafts back in the cafeteria — even Dr. Edsell joined in on the fun and made a bat of his own!
A big thank-you to the Clark-Pleasant Police Department, who walked with our students to and from the outdoor classroom and helped make the journey both safe and enjoyable.
It was a perfect mix of imagination, community, and fall celebration. 🍂🎃

Ambassador Academy October: Human Resources!
Last night’s Ambassador Academy session gave our participants a behind-the-scenes look at the Clark-Pleasant Human Resources Department with Dr. John Schilawski leading the evening!
💼 Christy Taylor shared how she welcomes and supports our new hires through onboarding — adding so many thoughtful, personal touches that make our new staff feel right at home.
💙 Mary Tanner walked us through the many benefits available to our employees, helping ensure every team member feels supported and valued.
💰 And Dawn Herring rounded out the evening with an inside look at payroll and the important role it plays in keeping everything running smoothly!
It was an engaging and informative night — complete with a delicious dinner catered by Olive Garden.
We can't wait to share more information with this amazing group next month!

October is National Fire Prevention Month, and the Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation is focused on ensuring our students and staff are prepared for fire emergencies.
Throughout this month, our schools emphasize fire safety education and conduct regular fire drills to practice swift, calm evacuation procedures. These drills are essential for reinforcing the routines that save lives.
We encourage families to continue this learning at home by:
Checking smoke alarms monthly.
Creating and practicing a home escape plan with two ways out of every room.
Designating an outside meeting place for everyone to gather.
Thank you for partnering with CPCSC to prioritize fire safety!

What an incredible evening at Pleasant Crossing Elementary’s Fall Fest! Our courtyard was full of laughter, smiles, and all things fall fun — from face painting and games to pumpkin decorating and storytime with special guest readers (including Dr. Edsell himself!).
A huge thank-you to our amazing PCES PTO for hosting such a wonderful event, to Fresh Thyme, Kelsay Farms, and Taylor Farms for their generous donations, and to the National Honor Society students who volunteered their time to make the night a success.
We also loved seeing families enjoy our book fair grand opening, grab cozy blankets from Redeemer Bible Church, and fill up bags of food thanks to the caring donations of our staff.
It truly takes a village — and we’re so grateful for ours at Pleasant Crossing!
