Congratulations to Raian for being the winner of the Grassy Creek Spelling Bee and to Jasleen who is the runner-up.
Raian will compete in the Johnson County Spelling Bee on January 14. Good Luck!!!
Grassy Creek Election Results!!!
The results are in, and by an overwhelming margin, Twix has won the ballot in the Grassy Creek 2024 Candy Election. The final count is as follows:
- Twix: 415 votes
- Gummy Bears: 241 votes
Students voted for their favorite candy during lunch periods today, allowing them to witness a little sweet democracy in action.

Come watch Ms. Kyra, Miss Harroff, Mr. Thies, and Mr. Guidi represent Grassy Creek and play the Harlem Wizards on November 9th at Whiteland Community High School!
On Thursday, 5th-grade reading students, from Grassy Creek, attended the Mock Trial of the Big, Bad Wolf, presented by the seniors in Mrs. Holton's Government class at Whiteland High School. The students observed the trial and even participated in helping the jury decide who was guilty. Ultimately, Curly Pig was found guilty! After the trial, the seniors had a Q&A session with the fifth-grade students and also demonstrated a cool hand trick to help them remember the Bill of Rights.
"Dr. Edsell spent part of his Friday morning reading to kindergarten students in Mrs. Ostermeier's room at Grassy Creek. The book 'Caps for Sale' is one of the most popular picture books ever published. Children seem to love chanting along with the naughty monkeys."

Vaccine Exclusion Date for the 2024-2025 school year is:

The last school day for students before fall break is Friday, October 4th.
Your students will have the opportunity to receive required vaccinations while out
of school during fall break.
If your student does not have their state required vaccines completed by Sunday,
October 20, 2024 they will not be able to return to school until required vaccines
are completed.
