This morning, Chief Chad Pryce welcomed our Assistant Principals for a tour of the Clark-Pleasant Police Department’s facilities and a closer look at the people, systems, and resources working every day to help keep our schools safe.
Chief Pryce walked the group through our safety systems, introduced them to members of the department—including a few of our favorite four-legged K9 officers 🐾—and opened the floor for conversations about situations our building administrators may encounter and how our school police officers can support them.
With several new faces among our building-level administrators this year, it was a valuable opportunity for some to learn more about our school police department for the first time and a great refresher for others.
Having our own school police department means more than having officers in our buildings. It means having professionals who know our schools, know our staff and students, understand our procedures, and can work side-by-side with administrators before, during, and after a situation.
It’s one of the many pieces working behind the scenes every day to help make Clark-Pleasant schools safe, supportive places for our students to learn and grow. 💙🧡
Thank you to Chief Pryce and the entire Clark-Pleasant Police Department for all you do for our Warriors!

At Clark-Pleasant, we talk often about the importance of being lifelong learners—and that doesn't stop when you earn a diploma, a degree, or even become the person standing at the front of the classroom.
Today's eLearning Day gave our teachers and staff dedicated time to learn, collaborate, grow, and strengthen their skills so they can continue giving our students their very best.
Throughout the day, staff participated in learning opportunities covering everything from literacy and math instruction to student mental health, behavior supports, school safety, technology, multilingual learners, special education, and more—all with the goal of better serving our students.
Education is always evolving. New tools, new strategies, new research, and new challenges mean there is always more for all of us to learn. Providing our staff with dedicated time for meaningful professional development is an investment in them—and ultimately, an investment in every student they serve.
We ask our Warriors to be curious, keep growing, and never stop learning. We believe it's important that the adults in our schools model that same commitment. 💙🧡
Today was a day of learning across Clark-Pleasant—just in a little different way!
And because everything is better with tacos... 🌮💙🧡

WCHS student Jack Kelsay was recently selected to speak at the Indiana State Fair Harvest Dinner, representing 4-H members who were previous State Fair winners!
What an incredible honor and opportunity for one of our Warriors!
Jack shared his 4-H experience and represented his fellow 4-H members and the Warrior community on a very special stage. Jack and his family have made countless memories at the Indiana State Fair through the years, particularly through his goat project, and this opportunity added another unforgettable moment to that journey.
We love seeing our Warriors pursue their passions outside the classroom and have opportunities to represent our community along the way.
Congratulations, Jack, on this well-deserved honor! We are proud of you! 💙🧡🍀

💙🧡 Warrior Spotlight: Mia Takes the Cover!
We love seeing our Warriors shine—and this one is extra special!
One of our own Clark-Pleasant students, Mia, is featured on the cover of the July 2026 issue of Uniquely You! Indy! Mia and her mom, Jennifer Accinelli, a teacher at Whiteland Community High School, are featured in the magazine sharing their family’s story and an important message about inclusion, friendship, opportunity, and seeing each person for who they truly are.
Throughout her time at Clark-Pleasant, Mia has embraced opportunities to get involved, build friendships, and be part of her school community—from Unified Cheer and Unified Track to Best Buddies and so much more. The article describes Mia as social, determined, joyful, and independent—and those who know her know just how much joy she brings to those around her!
Mia’s story is also a wonderful reminder of how meaningful inclusion can be—not only for students with disabilities, but for everyone.
We are so proud to see one of our Warriors on the cover and to see Mia and Jen sharing their family’s story with the greater Indianapolis community. Congratulations, Mia! 🧡💙

We are incredibly excited to share that Clark-Pleasant’s Teacher of the Year, Dana Camp, has been named one of the TOP 25 for the 2027 Indiana Teacher of the Year! 🏆🍎
Dana is representing Clark-Pleasant among some of the very best educators from across Indiana, and we could not be more proud! 💙🧡
Those who know Dana know the passion, dedication, and heart she brings to her students and our school community each and every day. This statewide recognition is an incredible honor and so well deserved!
Please help us give Dana a HUGE Warrior Nation congratulations as she continues in the 2027 Indiana Teacher of the Year program! 👏👏👏
And as just one small example of what makes Dana so special, we included a photo from this past May when members of the Class of 2026 returned to Whiteland Elementary for their senior walk. Dana made a special certificate for each graduating senior she had taught and was there to celebrate them as they returned to their elementary school one final time. ❤️🎓
We are so proud of you, Dana, and we’ll be cheering you on!

Our community showed up for National Night Out last night at the Whiteland Soccer Complex, and what a great evening it was!
Families had the opportunity to meet and spend time with the officers and first responders who serve our community while enjoying emergency vehicle displays, community booths, games and activities, a bounce house, raffle prizes, music, food, horse-drawn carriage rides and so much more!
There were some pretty impressive things to see, too — from police and fire vehicles to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad and SWAT vehicle, K9 teams, police cadets, and first responders from throughout our community. 🚓🚒🐕🦺
We were also grateful to have so many local businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, food vendors, and partners join us and help make the evening special. Thank you to every organization, vendor, volunteer, and first responder who participated — there were so many who helped make the night possible!
Most importantly, National Night Out is about building relationships. It gives our families an opportunity to meet the people who help keep our community safe, ask questions, make connections, and strengthen the partnerships that make our community a great place to live, work, and learn.
A HUGE thank you to the Clark-Pleasant Police Department for bringing everyone together, and thank you to our Warrior families and community members who came out and joined us! 🧡💙
Building relationships. Strengthening our community.
