Veterans Honored!
Thank you to Mrs. Bowling and the third graders at GCES for a wonderful Veterans Day program Tuesday night.

A Family Feast!
A group of WCHS students shared a feast today, which they helped to create. The students invited their parents to the high school to partake of potatoes, stuffing, ham, turkey, and all the trimmings. One thing they all have in common is sharing love and Thanksgiving with their families and teachers.
What makes the meal even more special is that the students helped to prepare it in their foods and nutrition class, “Every classroom was in charge of something”, says Intensive Resource Teacher Nikki Purdue. “While this meal is delicious it gives the students a sense of purpose in being able to provide it for their families. She says many of these are families that just want to be included. CPCSC has 5 teachers in this high school level of service which has 51 students this year.
Wear Purple on Monday!

CONSTRUCTION DOESN'T STOP THIS SPIRIT TEAM!
Thank you SPIRIT TEAM for an AWESOME turnout this morning!
Small acts of kindness mean so much😁.

Family Forum!
Through CPCSC's Project AWARE grant we were able to host our first Family Forum with Reach for Youth who presented to our families about Anxiety & Depression. Great tips and information was provided to assist our families who are supporting their youth with developing strong mental health! All families who attended received pizza and a gas card! Thanks to Reach For Youth for being great partners of CPCSC and our families.

Marlin Jackson Speaks!
Former Colt's corner and Super Bowl champ, Marlin Jackson, spoke to students at the CP Academy today. He talked about coming out of the projects in a single parent home but stated he let negatives motivate him not make him a victim. He played for 6 years.
Tori Jackson Commits to Ball State!

Bandmaster's!
CPMS hosted the Indiana Bandmaster's Association All Region Honor Band. 27 CPMS students were selected to participate and gave a wonderful concert Sunday. 20 area schools were represented in the band and Dr. Dan Tembras from Purdue Ft. Wayne was guest conductor.

With a diverse population we're working to be more intentional recognizing different cultures and holidays.
Diwali , the Indian "festival of lights" starts Nov, 12. Candles and lamps are lit and placed in homes and streets to celebrate the triumph of light over dark.

WCHS Punjabi Club hosted a Diwali event Thursday. The event featured activities, dance performances, and delicious food. The celebration provided a great opportunity for students to connect and engage with each other in a relaxed setting. Thank for your support and Happy Diwali.
