🚌💛 Happy National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 💛🚌

Today we celebrate the incredible individuals who keep our students safe on the road each and every day. From early mornings to late afternoons, through all kinds of weather, our transportation team shows up with dedication, care, and a smile.

Often, they are the first and last face a child sees each school day—and that impact matters more than words can say.

Thank you to our amazing bus drivers, aides, and transportation staff for ensuring safe, reliable rides to and from school. Your commitment does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do!

A special thank you to Silver Dragon Dojo for sponsoring treats from Awesome Snowballs to help us celebrate our team. 🍧

🎓 Big news for our students, families, and community!

Whiteland Community High School has officially earned the Early College High School Endorsement—a recognition that puts WCHS among a select group of schools across Indiana expanding real college opportunities for students.

Through our Early College program, students aren’t just earning a diploma—they can graduate with:
✔️ The Indiana College Core
✔️ An associate degree or technical credential
✔️ Significant college credits

💡 Since 2021, 230 WCHS students have already earned the Indiana College Core, and the Class of 2026 is on track to add 100+ more—saving families over $2 million in tuition.

This endorsement reflects our commitment to ensuring every student has access to a strong future—whether that’s college, career, or beyond.

👏 Congratulations to our students, staff, and partners who made this possible!

✨ Ambassador Academy Spotlight: Robert Speight ✨

We are proud to introduce our next Ambassador Academy member, Robert Speight, from our second class of ambassadors! 💙

Robert brings nearly 30 years of experience in the banking industry and currently serves as a Treasury Management Officer for JCBank, the official bank of CPCSC. Through his work, he plays an important role in supporting our local community and schools.

His connection to Clark-Pleasant is deeply personal. His wife, Brandi, has served students at Pleasant Crossing Elementary for 12 years, and all three of their children have been part of the CPCSC family. His two oldest, Ryne and Aleigh, are proud graduates of Whiteland Community High School, and his youngest, Lainey, is currently a sophomore continuing that tradition.

Robert is incredibly thankful for the opportunities CPCSC has provided his family and is proud to support a school corporation that means so much to them.

We are so grateful to have Robert as part of this incredible group of community champions who are helping us strengthen connections and create even more opportunities for our students.

🌟 BIG NEWS from our FFA Program! 🌟

On Thursday evening, three of our outstanding FFA members took the next step in their leadership journey by interviewing for the 2026–2027 District XIII FFA Officer Team. These positions are highly competitive, with only top members from each chapter selected to represent their schools. District officers serve as leaders and ambassadors, facilitating programs and representing their district at FFA events across Indiana throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud to share:
👏 Jack Kelsay has been slated as District XIII President
👏 Madeline Armstrong has been slated as District XIII Secretary

Even more impressive—Whiteland was the only school in our district (Johnson, Marion, and Shelby Counties) to have two members slated for the officer team!

As District XIII President, Jack will also serve on the Indiana FFA Executive Committee, representing our district at the state level.

This is a huge accomplishment and a reflection of the leadership, dedication, and hard work these students bring to our FFA program every day.

🎉 If you see Jack or Madeline, be sure to congratulate them!

📚 678,000 minutes. Let that sink in.

That’s how much time our students at Pleasant Crossing Elementary spent reading—and it earned them 2nd place in the state in the Read to the Final Four “Rising Readers” competition! 🏀

This isn’t just about a contest…
It’s about building lifelong readers, creating daily habits, and showing our students that reading can be both fun and powerful.

Celebrating the Heart of Our Schools

This time of year is filled with so many special moments as we recognize the incredible people who pour their hearts into serving our students and families each and every day.

Yesterday, at Clark-Pleasant Middle School they surprised their Employee of the Year winners during an after-school staff meeting — and it was a moment full of joy, gratitude, and a few happy tears.

👏 Classified Employee of the Year: Jill Stickels, Administrative Assistant/Registrar
👏 Certified Employee of the Year: Laney Sweeney, Teacher
👏 Classified Operations Employee of the Year: Rhonda Yates, Custodian

Each of these individuals represents the very best of what it means to serve others and make a difference in the lives of students.

And one moment that truly captured the spirit of the day… Laney’s surprise didn’t stop with the announcement. Her teaching team went above and beyond by inviting her entire family to be there — and her sweet girls even showed up dressed to match her. 💕 It was a beautiful reminder that the impact of a great educator extends far beyond the classroom.

As each of our schools celebrates their Classified and Certified Employees of the Year, we are reminded just how lucky we are to have such passionate, dedicated individuals across our district.

We are so grateful for ALL of our staff who show up every day to support, inspire, and care for our students. This work matters — and so do you.
