Real-world science in action!
Last week, Taylor Tatlock’s AP Environmental Science students visited Franklin College for an inspiring day of learning. Dr. O’Neal shared research conducted by both faculty and students and how their findings connect to environmental trends across different states and countries.

Students also had the chance to hear college researchers present their work on stream health right here in Franklin, IN.

What an incredible opportunity to see environmental science come alive beyond the classroom!

Ambassador Academy Transportation Session: A Deep Dive into CPCSC Transit

The latest session of the Ambassador Academy focused entirely on the vital role of the Transportation Department, expertly hosted by Robin Hall and her dedicated team!

Fleet Familiarization: Participants learned about the various types of buses we utilize in the district.

Driving Experience: A highlight of the evening was the opportunity for participants to actually drive the buses!

Logistics Explained: We explored the intricacies of route planning and the decision-making process for inclement weather delays.

The evening included a delicious dinner and the distribution of special Ambassador trucker hats.

A special acknowledgment goes to Quinton Moore and Andrew Prince for their enthusiasm, heading directly from the Academy session to the Wizards game!

BIG NEWS from Clark Elementary!

We are thrilled to share that Clark Elementary School has officially been named a 2025 Indiana Purple Star School!

This special designation recognizes schools that go above and beyond in supporting service members, veterans, and military-connected students and families. We are incredibly proud of our staff and community for fostering such meaningful support.

Clark Elementary received an official certificate signed by Governor Mike Braun, Secretary Katie Jenner, and BG Lawrence Muennich, Indiana’s Adjutant General—an honor that reflects the heart and dedication of our school community.

While the announcement came a bit later than expected, the designation is now posted on IDOE’s Purple Star School webpage. The award is valid for three years, and we look forward to continuing this commitment through 2028 and beyond.

💙🧡 Congratulations to Clark Elementary on this outstanding achievement! 💙🧡
