Today, Mrs. Liz Breeden’s kindergarten writing classes celebrated their hard work as young authors by hosting a Teddy Bear Publishing Party! Students have been busy developing their storytelling and writing skills, and today they got to share their original stories with some very special guests — their favorite stuffed animals 🧸 and visiting administrators and teachers.
After presenting their stories, students enjoyed a sweet Teddy Grahams snack to wrap up this memorable event.
These young writers will host several publishing parties throughout the year, each with a unique theme and experience designed to cultivate a love for writing. At Clark-Pleasant, we’re proud to be growing strong, confident writers from the very start!

The WCHS Education Pathway students attended the Dual Credit Preview Days at UIndy. These students are interested in becoming teachers and are currently earning college credit while in high school. Students can earn 9 college credits in this pathway by the time they graduate.

We are excited to kick off the second year of our Ambassadors Academy—a program designed to bring parents, local business owners, and community members together for a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a school district.
Our first meeting in September was a construction tour, where ambassadors got to explore the exciting updates at Whiteland Community High School and step inside the brand-new K–5 building. (Check out the photos below!)
Each month, our ambassadors meet with Dr. Edsell, Dr. Shipp, Dr. Schilawski, and other district leaders to dive into different areas of our schools:
