Clark Elementary

Our fourth Veterans Day program from Clark-Pleasant Schools today took place at Clark Elementary, and it was truly moving. ❤️🤍💙

The fifth-grade students led a powerful ceremony filled with gratitude and respect for those who have served and those currently serving. The program began with the National Anthem performed by the 5th grade choir, followed by student speakers who shared the meaning behind Veterans Day, the symbolism of our American flag, and the sacrifices made by service members and their families.

Students honored each branch of the military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force — during the Armed Forces Medley, and many students proudly raised their hands when asked if they had a family member currently serving or who has served. ❤️

After a touching moment of silence, the choir closed the ceremony with “Proud of Our Veterans,” featuring solos by Avery Wethington, Max Harden, and Lilly Ogle.

We are so grateful for our veterans — past, present, and future.
Thank you for your courage, your dedication, and your sacrifice. 🇺🇸

I just arrived here at CES a few minutes ago due to the weather. As I'm listening to the bus radio traffic there are many buses that are running behind on their routes due to the weather.

CPCSC dedicated the Ruth Callon Center building today designed to utilize our trauma and behavior program for K-5 students.

Such a wonderful space for students and the program is in great hands under the leadership of it's caring and gifted principal, Mrs. Osborne.

CES teachers were in professional development from 8:00-3:00 today during the E-Learning Day. Multiple sessions throughout the district and some sessions held at CES in math, reading and writing while they also helped our students remotely throughout the day and in the afternoon from 3:00-4:00.

So impressed and proud of our teachers as they always work so hard to continue to grow and learn the best instructional techniques for our students.

Thank you also to our great CES Reading Coach, Mrs. Wise, and our great Math Coach, Mrs. Beckley, as they led our reading, writing and math trainings.

CES 5th grade teachers created some wonderful indoor camping experiences for our students today...what fun!

Two friendly T-Rexs (aka Dr. Sloan and Mrs. Risley) came to visit the CES students as they left this afternoon. Make Their Day! 😁
