Clark-Pleasant Community Schools – E-Learning Day
Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Due to inclement weather, all Clark-Pleasant school buildings will be CLOSED tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
However, students WILL participate in a SYNCHRONOUS (LIVE) e-Learning Day.
🔹 What this means for families:
Students do NOT report to school buildings
Students WILL log in from home to attend live online classes with their teachers
The State of Indiana allows schools to use three asynchronous e-learning days, where students complete work independently. Those days have already been used. As a result, we are now operating under Synchronous (Live) e-Learning, which requires students to log in and participate in real-time instruction.
Each school will be sending families specific schedule and login information so students know when and where to join their live sessions.
Thank you for your flexibility and partnership as we keep students learning while keeping everyone safe.

Your child's teacher will be sending a Google Meet code by tomorrow morning and this can be found in Google Classroom. Your child will need to log-in to join the live sessions during the day.
Please know that attendance will be taken based upon work completion and our students have up to 48 hours to complete the assignments posted. So, this means students have until this Wednesday to complete any work that remains.
Here is the schedule for the synchronous eLearning instruction on Monday, January 26:
9:30-10:00- Log in for live teacher-reading support
10:00-10:10- Break
10:10-10:40- Log in for live teacher-math support
10:40-10:50- Break
10:50-11:20- Log in for live teacher-writing support
11:20-11:50- Log in for live teacher support for Related Arts (Related Arts K/1 PE, 2/3 Music, 4/5 Art) **Art, Music, PE will provide a lesson to their grade band. For this lesson, we request that your child only log-in if they need support as each teacher will be supporting two full grade levels of students at the same time. 11:50-12:00- Wrap up and use any remaining time this afternoon to complete any work that is not yet finished.
Thank you,
Dr. Sloan, Principal

We recently had our all school Book Blast opening parties in the classrooms. Every student was guaranteed a free book, and many of our other students had a lot more to open in their bundle that family and friends bought for them.
Thank you for all of your help and support!

Dr. Sloan, Principal

Eve Collins, Levi Dittmer, Jaylyn Roach, Clara Schmidt, Jordan Smith, and Mang Tial represented Clark Elementary this year. They had to prepare an audition, learn difficult music, learn to sing in Norwegian, and rehearse for two days before a wonderful performance. If you see one of our Honor Choir singers, tell them congratulations!"
We will be holding Parent Teacher Conferences again on February 10 and 12 from 4-8 pm. In the very near future, your child's teachers will be reaching out to you to schedule a day and time to meet with you to discuss your child's academic and social progress.
On Friday, February 13, students will be released two hours early. I will send additional reminders about the early release as this date gets closer.
