CPCSC will be on a 2-Hour Delay Tomorrow, Monday, December 15th
Due to cold temperatures and poor road conditions, Clark-Pleasant Community Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay. Additional details may be shared by your child’s school or teacher.

For our Synchronous eLearning day today, Friday, December 12, your child's teacher will be sending a Google Meet code later this morning and this can be found in Google Classroom and your child will need to log-in to join the live sessions during the day.
Please know that attendance will be taken based upon work completion and our students have up to 48 hours to complete the assignments posted. So, this means students have until next Tuesday to complete any work that remains.
Here is the schedule for today's synchronous instruction:

10:00-10:10- Break

For this lesson, we request that your child only log-in if they need support as each teacher will be supporting two full grade levels of students at the same time. 11:50-12:00- Wrap up and use any remaining time this afternoon to complete any work that is not yet finished.
Thank you,
Dr. Sloan, Principal

Clark-Pleasant Community Schools will be CLOSED today, Friday, December 12th, due to inclement weather. Today will be a SYNCHRONOUS (LIVE) eLearning Day
As a reminder, the State of Indiana only allows schools to use three asynchronous e-learning days in which students log-in on their own and complete work without access to a teacher. We have utilized those days and now switch to "Synchronous (live) Learning". This means that your child will need to log-in to join the live sessions during the day. Information will be sent out by each school with more information about schedules and times.

Last Friday, the CES Student Council Members went on a shopping trip with money they had raised from selling items at the CES PTO Fall Festival along with generous donations from staff and families within our community.
They were able to purchase a lot of items to help families in need that will make their holiday a lot brighter.
Thank you to all who donated and a special thank you to Mrs. Rains, Mrs. Van Horn and Mr. Bailey for all of their time and organization making this happen.
Sincerely,
Dr. Sloan, Principal
Thank you for your support!

We’re excited to share that CES is once again partnering with Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program to help put brand-new, age-appropriate books into the hands of every one of our students!
Here’s why we love Book Blast:
· Every student receives books they’ll love and want to read
· 100% of all contributions go directly to books and classroom needs
· The book list is thoughtfully curated and truly engaging
Keep an eye out for a message from me with more details soon.
This Tuesday, students will also be bringing home a printed Treasure Map—this is their ticket to joining the fun, earning books, and unlocking some great prizes. It’s simple, exciting, and encourages reading at home.
Book Blast runs December 2-December 12 and books will be delivered after Winter Break.
This is not a fundraiser...the sole purpose is to get more gooks into the hands of our students.
In the meantime, you can learn more about Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program https://www.bb.booksarefun.com/testimonials.
We’re looking forward to a great kickoff!
Sincerely,
Dr. Sloan, Principal

We had such a great time with our CES families last night! Thank you for coming out with your family and enjoying all of the great activities our PTO had planned and also for bidding on all of the silent auction items. Our PTO works so hard to support our students and teachers...we appreciate your support!
Thank you also for all of the hard work and planning of our event by our PTO Board and our great CES staff who donated their time as well.
Enjoy the pictures!
Sincerely,

Attached, you will find a certificate signed by Governor Mike Braun, Secretary Katie Jenner, and BG Lawrence Muennich, Indiana’s Adjutant General. This certificate can be displayed at your school in recognition of your impact.

Good afternoon...we are just hours away from our big event! Please come out tonight with your family for the fun and also to support our great PTO that does so much for our students and staff!

The fifth-grade students led a powerful ceremony filled with gratitude and respect for those who have served and those currently serving. The program began with the National Anthem performed by the 5th grade choir, followed by student speakers who shared the meaning behind Veterans Day, the symbolism of our American flag, and the sacrifices made by service members and their families.
Students honored each branch of the military — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force — during the Armed Forces Medley, and many students proudly raised their hands when asked if they had a family member currently serving or who has served. ❤️
After a touching moment of silence, the choir closed the ceremony with “Proud of Our Veterans,” featuring solos by Avery Wethington, Max Harden, and Lilly Ogle.
We are so grateful for our veterans — past, present, and future.
Thank you for your courage, your dedication, and your sacrifice. 🇺🇸
Clark-Pleasant Schools honors you today and every day.

Ms. Arndt and our students put together a wonderful program!
